What are the most popular (mainstream) paintings that are displayed in the Art Institute of Chicago museum?

I really want to go, but I need to talk my boyfriend into going, so I'm going to see if I can find some paintings that he might recognize.

There is the sisters by Renoir. than you have the haystacks by Monet. They have a whole sections of swords and military knight armor too. And stuff from ancient Egipt. And besides they have a nice restaurant outside in the courtyard that you can enjoy on worm days. The museum has furniture and many other stuff, so maybe sell him on the other stuff, but still the haystacks look a lot better when you get to see them in original.
good luck

How about American Gothic by Grant Wood or Nighthawks by Edward Hopper? Look up photos of these 2 on the internet, both are very recognizable, especially American Gothic.

The Van Gogh self-portrait with a bandage over what was left of his ear is probably the most famous painting at the Institute.
