He's an American; roughly the contemporary of Norman Rockwell. All his work is almost flourescent and has youths in robes and columns and water and distant foliage. His work is realistic but almost impressionistic. Shadow and bright color are universal.

I am in the process of developing a web page. My site builder is a marketing expert and recommends a logo or workmark. I don't feel this is needed.
Any thoughts either way?

When I am shooting film, I get confised about finding the the right relationship between the f-stop and the shutter speed based on the light sensor. How would I find the optimal setting?

My sister and I are arguing about this. I told her that one of my favorite colors was white, and she told me that white is not a color. I demanded then, if it was not a color, what it was. She told me 'White is the abscence of color.' Now, I know black is the abscence of light, but I have never heard of white being the abscence of color. I don't think white is on the rainbow of colors though, so I'm not so sure. Can someone shed some light (haha, no pun intended) on this situation? I'm doing a project on this. Thank you.

The picture was of a starving African child crawling to a UN relief center, and in the background was a vulture waiting for the kid to die so he could eat him.

Name of the photographer please, or a link to the photo.

Thanks. =]

a fly pen is a pen that when you write with it,it comes alive. Like if you draw a piano, you can actually play on it.

Okay, I have narrowed it down to three cameras. The Nikon D80, Canon EOS 400D Rebel XTi and Sony DSLR-A100. I am having a hard time choosing. The Nikon is sort of $$$ and the Sony has a image stabilization, which is nice and the Canon I am getting mixed reviews. Any ideas which one is better out of the three for a beginner photographer?

I have been playing with an ideaes for a very large size piece of sculpture based upon music and musical instruments. It would stand about 6 ft tall, supported bt a base steel pole, screwed onto a base piece od metal at the floor - this could possibly have some curve to it as well. The individual representations of music would be "stacked" around the pole and would be somewhat reasistic, but also have curves and sways to coonvey the motion of music. I was wondering what thought you might have for this piece.

So far, I am concidering useing primarily the instruments themselve, built and sistorted out of clay, perhaps with wire added onto some of the pieces during assembly. This open the questions . . . what instruments.....i want them to belong together visually or musically . . .I am thinking about a large drum of some sort at the base . . .i am concidering the top ending in something like a trombone to naturally curve out and extend focus beyond the piece. + human additation

I'm looking at DSLRs... and besides the name brand, ISO capabilities, and price... am not seeing a big difference between the two cameras?

As a serious amateur, which one should I get? Is the Leica worth almost $400 more? The flip-out screen feature is IMPORTANT to me, and I'm not seeing any other 10 megapixel cameras which have this feature.

Hello. I am just learning to become an artist. This is the first large piece I have painted and have only been painting around a year. This is a painting of my horse that I own. I want your honest opinion. The white part is an odd shape, because it is shaped that way in real life. Go ahead and be honest, but don't go off and be sure rude. I am new at this and just want some sort of feedback. I don't want to sell them or anything...I just want to know if they are good enough to be displayed in a home. Thanks for your help. If they link does't work, I will fix it...sorry. I am also new at adding the image links. For reference, I am age 26.

I am a subscribing member of www.webshots.com, and thus have access to the "pro shots" section, where there are some really really nice quality photos. As part of a project I wanted to take these photos and put them into a slideshow accompanied by music in a montage, but I have to download them in .wbz format, which can only be opened by the Webshots Desktop application. Is there any way for me to convert these files into regular .jpg or .gif files?

I have an old brass bellhandle (bell with handle) that my father found at an auction in 1981. It looks old and asian of some sort, the handle is in the shape of a monkey or god looking human that has a different face on each side. I would love to post a picture and get an idea of what this is and what it is worth. What websites are safe?
