Anyone reccomend any interesting re-branding done by any fashion and clothing brands?

In south africa we used to have a very popular beer called lion larger. It was in a yellow can and most people liked it. They then thought they would like to rebrand their product to a more modern look. they changed the can to a silver colour, and apprantly changed the taste some what. it lasted about a year before lion larger was discontinued. It is a classic case of how re branding went wrong.

People dont like change much, and if you change things too much too suddenly then people get scared or confused. They wont like the product. the changes have to be done subltly but advertised publicly.

I worked in a clothing shop with a south african designer. She only made corporate clothes. She then wanted to move to more fashionable clothes. the trick was to keep sme of the old, which was the corporate clothing, and slowly introduce the fashionable items. She also made sure that you could mix and match the two.

Who says you can wear a pair of jeans with a blazer? that kind of thing.
