Does anyone know of a good sketch artist in chicago that can make a sketch from a couple of photos? If by any chance does this person have a website?

I am considering pursuing this type of field and am wondering if there is any difference between the two? Also, would my lack of drawing skills hinder my ability to succeed in such a career?

If I do a digital illustration and put it online, is it still copyrighted to myself even if I dont file all the paperwork? I remember hearing in class that regardless of the papers filed, If create an original piece it is C to myself regardless~ so I am safe against people who may want to snatch my character/design concept? Am I and other artists protected under something regardless of what paper work we send in ?

ok like how do you get normal pictures to be like, tricked out? what i mean by that is it looks like you took them into the "paint" program on your computer and turned them into what looks like some kind of picture that is painted sorta but maybe with only a couple colors or varying colors? im soo confused and i would think that it is simple....? if i find a picture then i'll show it

I plan on buying the D80 here in about 2 to 3 weeks. I've heard some great reviews. Just wanted to hear some reviews from anyone who has one or has used one compared to the D70 and even the D200.
Likes and dislikes. Anything to help me make sure I'm making a good decision. I'm pretty confident I am.
