I would like you to recommend sites, and books for good pose references.

Maybe black, and white photos of nude females with plain backgrounds?

Go to CothesFree.com into forums. They have an artists forum there that should be useful.Hopefully you'll stay and post some of your art there also.

My favorite books are, 'The Nude Figure: A Visual Reference For the Artist' by Mark Smith: http://www.amazon.com/Nude-Figure-Visual-Reference-Artist/dp/0823032329/sr=8-4/qid=1172612358/ref=sr_1_4/103-8214069-1826205?ie=UTF8&s=books

and 'The Figure in Motion' by Thomas Easley: http://www.amazon.com/Figure-Motion-Thomas-Easley/dp/0823016919/ref=pd_bxgy_b_img_b/103-8214069-1826205

What I haven't been able to buy (but paging through makes them look pretty good) are any of the multiple 'Virtual Pose' books by Mario Henri Chakkour: http://www.amazon.com/Virtual-Pose-Ultimate-Reference-Drawing/dp/096663831X/sr=1-5/qid=1172612697/ref=sr_1_5/103-8214069-1826205?ie=UTF8&s=books

All of these are nude-figure books (the editing has been done by Amazon, there are no hidden details in print) and special consideration is taken with light/shadows, muscle details, varied poses, etc. The first two I listed probably fit the bill for EXACTLY what you're looking for.

Good luck!
