While I was looking for a greeting card came across this site, and now am a fan. You can put your photo in their card and it comes out as a little animation. The only thing is that you have to download their program

If you're looking for personalized photo greeting cards for purchase, I've used this site before and they're the most reasonably priced site around.

Kodak has a free software download (not a trail) at their site that has great features. You can print your photo greeting cards right at home.

If you're looking for software for your computer that uses graphics, I've used Ulead Photo Express & Hallmark Scrapbook Studio. And they're good too. They both make various different programs for greeting cards. Broderbund is a good brand for greeting card programs too (Printmaster).
