it really depends on the species of your butterfly or horned beetle. If it is something rare, it will be more expensive, something really common not so. Below a sample website which gives you prices for some. If your box has a label what species you have in there, look that up. If not you could consider posting an image in the biology section. That will only help if it is a common and distinct species though.
On average about $5 should buy you a nice big beetle. Add maybe $10 for the glass box.

There's a website based in Australia called What It's Worth To You (I think it's www.wiw2u.com but that ought to be enough to search for) and they offer various levels of valuation and commentary; I've used them several times and found them very helpful, so it might be worth giving them a try. Obviously they need photographs and whatever other information you can supply, but I tried a variety of valuation sites and this seemed to be the best value for money and the most informative. I believe that they have a link through which you can sell anything appealing also.

ive seen them on ebay.youd get an idea from there on prices they went for atleast
