A dealer in NY, NY asked me to put together a "showing". (A collection of my work) Well I didn't know what I was getting into. Several thousand dollars later I shipped off a collection of prints with best wishes and all that.
Later I heard that the collection was going to be displayed at a gallery, and the dates it would run. Well mid way through I was contacted by the gallery and asked when I would be attending? To put it bluntly I’ve never had any want to visit NY and declined the invention.
Now the gallery and dealer are ranting about how much I’ve cost them?
Would someone who knows about this stuff explain what’s going on?

He died not too long ago...I remember watching the Charlie Rose Show, and he was being interviewed. He was an elderly man who took photographs with a small 35 mm camera; I believe all his photographs were b&w. He also claimed he was an anarchist which I found interesting because when I think of someone who considers himself an anarchist, I think of someone young. The interview took place in a white room--must've been a gallery I suppose--with every wall lined with his work. He was self-deprecating when it came to his work. What inspired him most was the geometery of a setting. Does anyone know who I'm talking about? I'd like to learn more about him.

A couple of year ago I attended a Stone carving workshop. We made a mixture that consisted of plaster paris, cement and other ingrediants. This mixture was poured into a box and allowed to set. The end result was a soft stone that we then used for carving and making a small sculpture. I've lost the recipe and wondered if anyone could give me one.

First, her real name was Lisa. She was DaVinci’s lover for many years. The painting was inspired by them both having the greatest sex of their lives the night before. And the original title of the painting was ‘Moaning Lisa.’

The Catholic Church frowned upon the title of the painting and pressured Leonardo to change it to a less suggestive title.

Or maybe not. But isn’t my theory as good as anyone else’s?

i like to draw and all that but i dont paint much, i tried painting a long time ago with watercolor, but i'm not very good with brushes, and i want to start painting.

i bought this canvas at micheals it's one of those cheap ones that are like 2 for six bucks. anyway, i want to try it on a real canvas so i can have it framed because my friends' parents have a framing business, and she says i need to have it stretched, what does that mean?

and what's the best type of paint start with? i have guache at home.

i just basically need the basics on painting, i need to know what i need to begin painting. :-)

I was given a painting by an elderly neighbor and I have no idea if the painting has any monetary value. Unfortunately the neighbor has passed away so I am unable to get any additional info about it. It is a landscape painting and it is in a very intricate wooden frame.

This has been bothering me for awhile. How exactly DO you define realism?

Every one knows that photo realism is indeed realism. Outside of that there are many different styles of "realistic" art that OBVIOUSLY do not appear to be realistic at all and yet are still cosidered to be realism, i.e. a lot of things created using etching or done in pen.

I would like to know...where exactly do you draw the line? What IS realism?

We know Da Vinci was very much into word games and playing on words.

Salai was the word used most in all of Da Vinci's journal. Salai was da vinci's lover & assistant.

Mon - means "My" in french. So "Mon Salai" would mean "my salai"

I also found a painting of Salai with an unknown artist and it matches up PERFECTLY over the Mona Lisa.. M on Salai? maybe

Do you think this is just a coincidence? If it is how could you explain it other than the theory I have on my web site itsjustlife.com (that's where the pictures are)

Also, I don't know who to contact to release my findings. Obviously they are significant because if i'm right i've figured out who the mona lisa really is and found a new painting that's previously unknown to be painted by Da Vinci (world's greatest painter)
