It is supposed to come under Obscenity Prevention Act or something like that and who ever poses for one and who shoots the photograph will definetly go to jail.
It is an old anarchic act, but it has not been changed.

Ok, I think nude paintings are one thing because to create one takes a lot of attention to detail but nude photography just seems a little wronchy to me. I mean, it all depends on the way the photo is taken and WHO it is taken by. If I were to pay someone to take a nude photo of me for a peice of art i was aiming to create that would be different. But if some guy posted an ad in a paper sayin "fine-art nude photography" I would be skeptical....

Nudity in general isn't something which escapes the artistic aesthetics of Indian art. Consider the reliefs adorning the walls of stupas, or for that matter pick up the Kama Sutra. It would follow that regardless of medium, if executed properly, nude photography is an accepted form of art in India.

No its not. Although, artists have been making paintings n statues of naked people from a long time & which is quite recognised n famous in India since ancient times.

At khajuraho the ancients depicted nudity as an art in stone statues because then there was no photography.

i dont think so nude photography is a rcognised art in india coz being a religious country it will not entertain such type of things.

nude is natural
nude is truth
but some countries dont except it, but the truth is every one wants to see it, but do not want to make it public that he is seeing it....lol

India is one such country...............we dont belive in nude art............................lol
