Visual Arts - October 2006

I've got to think up a theme and then create pictures using words in order to present that theme. It's something like making a picture out of words but the words have to have the same meaning as the picture. Almost like putting a picture into a thousands words or like making a picture with a thousand words which mean the same as the picture. Thanks!

I was looking around for an essay contest for kids or teens that I could enter that offered cash prizes or gift cards, whatever. I don't want to be given one of thos phony websites that say you will win like a million dollars. A for real one.

Here in Salt Lake City, there's a Christmas fundraiser called "Festival of Trees", which benefits a local children's hospital. You submit a tree which is auctioned off, and the proceeds go to the hospital. I'm submitting a tree, and I'm going to use only diet coke cans and lights to decorate it. Please help me come up with the ideas for cutting, folding, or punching the cans and manipulating them into stunning decorations! I am interested in majoring the designing field.

I am planning to be a designer that works with the dvd player designing, auto interior designing, etc.

I like desiging thing with my pride, and like impressing people by smart and beautiful creations.


But first, I want know, if this field makes good amount of money.
And is there fierce competetion?

And how diverse the fields are? (ex: auto designing, fashion designing, interior designing, etc.)

I am looking for a good book that is not too technical or a website just to guide me on film and tips and tricks to get the most out of the camera.
I am particulary interested in black and white film.
Also if someone knows the processing costs for the film and how many shots there are per roll that would be great too.

I build canvases from scratch and then paint and then transport paintings. The guy that finds customers takes 50% of the sale price for finding people to buy. He doesn't do much as he has a store front and people come to him.

I am trying to find a short and effective way to advertise my daycare, but my prints keeps on fading, I am wondering if I advertise my daycare with paint, poster paint, if it's still going to fade. Or if someone has a good idea that is easy and does not required 10 different steps to achive an ad without fading.

I was looking at this website http://www.overstockart.com and they have alot of reproduction paintings of famous artists, but they also have a section for Mediterranean Scenes.
