I am trying to find a short and effective way to advertise my daycare, but my prints keeps on fading, I am wondering if I advertise my daycare with paint, poster paint, if it's still going to fade. Or if someone has a good idea that is easy and does not required 10 different steps to achive an ad without fading.

Yes, most hobby paint fades, but signmaker's paint does not. Since One-Shot is toxic (lead-based) go with the next best thing - Tremclad. You can buy small cans of colours at the hardware store, and it has a lifespan of at least 5 years outdoors in full daylight. We have a sandwich-board style sign that is outdoors every day, all year in the most horrific (Canadian) weather and the colour is still kickin'.

Note: The colour red fades more quickly than any other colour, so try to avoid red.

Inks and paint fade. Paint is very sensitive to sunlight. As you know, museums and gallery's keep paintings out of the sunlight and use special lighting so as not to ruin the paintings.

I would suggest just saving your ad on computer and just reprint or make copies and just replace when to faded to read. You can try paint or black magic marker. It will still fade after a period of time. The suns rays are harsh.

The use of a term like "non-toxic" is usually misleading and is a marketing tool. If you drink a cup of this "non-toxic" paint I am willing to bet it will make you sick. So if you want a paint product that has less impact on the environment pick one that is water based and doesn't use volatile organic compounds (VOCs). "Toxic" metals like lead and chromium have been taken out of paint pigments and replaced with organic compounds that (as far as we know) are not as "toxic".

Most paints will fade. You can try vinyl lettering, but I think even those colors over time will fade.
