I've seen that the passing rate is quite low (only 4 people at our school took it, and 2 passed...).

How can people grade you on your art? (not saying that a squiggle deserves a 5 :), people all have different opinions of beauty. Doesn't effort and uniqueness have a say in anything or is it up to the reviewer's taste?

By the way, you submit your drawings copied onto these small transparent slides for the exam, right?
Comments welcome!
Thanks!

I am doing coloring books for fun, and I am finding it difficult to create the proper skin tone colors. Especially ethnic skin tones such as Native American, Polynesian, and Hispanic. I thought Crayola put a set of skin tone color crayons a few years ago.

It is not the 'traditional' kind of tempera, but the kind usually sold as 'poster paint' or something... it is called tempera, and a lot of places and art catalogs sell it.They usually have a line of really basic colors, like red, blue, yellow, black, blue, no real 'color' names like cadmium red or ultramarine blue, you know? I bought some, but am unsure how to go about using it...I know this sounds weird. Is it like acrylic, or watercolor or what? Has anyone had any experience with it in a real art type setting? (Not making posters or letting the kids paint with it? ) LOL!!! Does it make brushes hard if left in them? Not that I would do that I am just wondering... Lightfastness? What kinds of paper or surface should I use? Anything on this would be appreciated. I have a million questions about this but I can't think of them all LOL!!! ANything you know, please let me know. Thanks!!! SD :)

I have sprayed ant poisons around the base around the place where the ants go underneath the bark and up the trail of ants. They are attacking my Poplar and my Catalpa Trees. Both are showing signs of leaf branches that are dieing and dropping off the trees. I have fertilized the trees but it hasn't helped to stop the process of the ants.

I think he also photographed a bullet going through an apple, and a cat falling. I can't remember his name though. DO NOT say check Google, that is what I have been doing for the past half hour.

I'm not an expert in the Bible, but as far as I can tell, nowhere does it say what Jesus looked like. However, most artists who paint Jesus's portrait show him with long hair and a beard and moustache. Is it artistic license, or do they know something we don't? Just wondering. Thanx.

Is there a way to make fast money (like a couple hundred or so) over a couple of weeks with a good camera and good equipment?

If not in the hundred how much?

I'm about 30 min from a big Metro city and my town isn't small either.

This is professional grade stuff; Canon EOS30D, Softbox, Lighting, Backdrops and reflectors.

He says its at an estate sale and $95. Signed in pencil but the print number seems to be printed like the rest of the print. Should he buy it?
I advised yes, in case it is legitimate, it seemed like a good deal. though I have not seen it and am not sure of the quality. I know there are galleries in Chicago that sell that sort of thing, where he could maybe take it and then see if it was worth it. Does any one know? Did I give him good advice? Would you buy it?

I love the logo that I found on their website, but want the flexibility of using this logo on other forms of communication including electronic letterhead, etc. Where could I find out who created this logo? Is it possible to buy the rights to put this logo on items other than the business card? does 123printing 'own' the logo?
