Well, let's see... I graduated high school in 1974, and back then I had to pay FIVE dollars for a 2 ounce tube of paint and I nearly passed a stone... the same tube would cost me nearly $20 today.

So my brilliant mathematical mind tells me... that $50 paint would now cost almost $200.

I hope it was a really big PAIL of paint - tell me what it was and I'll find out the current equivalent - I'm intrigued!

*A paintING in 1973 cost $50?
*a paintbox full of paint (like a set) cost $50?
What kind of paint /painting is it? LOL!

If it was bought in 1973 for $50, it has probably dried up and is worth nothing.
