I don't think you can do much... maybe looking in a mirror and pretending that someone is photographing you... and this way you'll know what to do to look better

My mentor once told me, "There is no such thing as an ugly subject."

As a photographer, it's our responsibility to provide a subject with the most flattering posing and lighting we know of. So the questions isn't how you can be more photogenic, it's how a photographer can make you more photogenic.

In your picture you look like a nice looking person so I would agree better camera angles and also more interesting ones. Take the pictures with more interesting backgrounds and also chose clothes that flatter you. Your tee being white creates the wrong kind of lighting (reflective) when a picture is taken. It tends to wash you out. You need something darker--even a darker tee would be good.

Keep smiling that is somthing that was great even in your pic here.

If you are like me and have a face for Radio stay behind the camera. if not angles and lighting can make anyone look good. Different filters can help too i.e. soft focus. Tyr using lighting and different angles to make a better photo.

I am a photographer (www.davou.com) and have spent quite some time photographing beautifull and not so beautiful girls.

the only way your going to get better looking photographs of yoursef, is to take more photographs, and then look at them and ask yourself "is this nice" if it it, "whats nice about it" or "is this ugly" and "why did it turn out ugy"

by sticking to what works, and what doesent, you will spend less wasted frames, and the quality of your work will only get better and better.

also remember, they key to a good photogrpah, is a good photographer.

Try to pretend the picture isn't being taken, in other words relax. I usually take terrible pics but lately I have been trying to make good ones, so what I do is take the pic of myself, ya I do. and what works is to not try. Its really hard to do but it works for me.
