We would like to have a large or at least somewhat large sculpture of the ten commandments that we could put out front of the property.

the facilitators that i met at the burnt oak learndirect in london were extremely unhelpful and appeared not to know the courses' content.in the end they sstarted to be openly rude to me and they committed the universal computer person's error of mumbling grabbing the mouse and doing the current problem and disappearing half way across the room before you had a chance to say anything;that is not teaching its a joke and it took me for ever too finish Word;when i complaimed she simply gave me a complaint form ;cos i lost my temper anmd said i bet you had a bloody good laugh they banned me when i tryed to endrol athe hendon branch which has the ssame supervisor as burnt oak;cos i could not remember name s and referred to staff in terms of race i received a snotty reply from an office in london asking me to be racist and to give more detailsof my complaint even htough i had outlined the complaint;there was no answer to my question as to what work staff were doing on their own computers al

In black-and-white films in the forties and fifties, whenever there's a closeup shot of an actress, the edges are blurred ever so slightly, which creates sort of a glowing, almost dreamlike look. I'm guessing they do something different with the lighting as well. What is this technique called? Or does it even have a name?

And I'm sorry, but I can't seem to find any examples right now. If I find some, I'll add them in later.

Some people say art or beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But studies show otherwise. If something strikes you emotionally it could be just nostalgia. Hence the term "nostalgia". Definitions are important, otherwise what is the use of having different words for things?? The question you must ask is, "Why does it strike me?" If it reminds you of something in the past, that does not mean it i s art. If it strikes you and words are hard to come by, then it is probably art and most other people would tend to agree with you.

Hey all

I'm doing a fine art degree in September, and I have no idea what it is that I want at the end of it?

I kept on saying this whilst I was doing my foundation year (I managed to get a first so at least I know I am doing something right!) The tutors said 'just enjoy it'

Well I would if I was 18 and just straight from A-Levels, but I'm not, I'm going to be 30 in September and I still have not had a career as such.

Does anyone have a degree in fine art, and if so what are you doing career wise now?

Thank you in advance

:-)

Sometimes it can be a warming color, and sometimes it can be a fiery and spontaneous color, and sometimes it makes you jumpy, and sometimes it makes you feel intense, and sometimes it makes you feel secure and comfortable. What does it say to you?

The middle of June, my car was totaled in a wreck. Still a little sore but healing fine.

Some insurance companies don't consider photography an art form, and are seem to run & hide when asked to insure cameras, et al.
My two Nikons were "lost" and upon approaching the insurance agent about them, they became "dumb" saying I was the only thing inside the car. Yesterday, the salvage yard called, and asked me to reclaim my personal property before they dismantled the car. Asking about the cameras, they said there's only personal property in the console. I know that, and cameras can't fit in there.

The whole point is the insurance company ripped me, and nobody seems to know anything about cameras, and the bag, in a wrecked car. So now, I've got to buy another car, and cameras. I've got a car spotted, but need help from others to help me replace my equipment. I'm 59, and this is the first time I've ever asked anyone for help, like this. I'm a member of IFPO, too-without cameras!!
