I can take speed, aperature or manual pictures with digital. Has a modest 2-3x telephoto. What would a good (approximate) setting to capture lightning bugs in the backyard? I'm having no luck. Too dark or too bright.

(F2 -F8), speed 1/1000 to 8 sec. Sony DSC S85.

I can't seem to shade smoothly. I can't color using too much pressure on the pencil because I'll get a greyed effect. I've tryed blending with my finger and using a little bit of water, what else can I try?

Mine is a drawing of El Quijote de la Mancha by piccasso..I just love the way he did it ,is an abstract but somehow it has everything for me , so old, thin and proud of himself.. just quixotic :) ...I also like many of Escher , what is yours?

I think power lines are very neat looking. I am also very fascinated in them. I go on road trips to look at them. I especially like looking at the tall tower type. I'm looking for other people fascinated in them too. If so tell me and also if you want, give me your Yahoo ID because so we can chat. Thank you.

Currently I use WinkFlash.com and have been pleased with the quality and pricing - until my most recent order. They offer a program where they will mail you a CD with return postage paid. You can then copy a large number of photos to the CD and mail it in for prints instead of uploading them. Do you know of any other on-line printer that offers this type of service? Even with broadband, it takes too long to upload several hundred MB of photos so I like the CD option. I may stick with winkflash, but I would like to know what other options there are. Winkflash will only let you have one CD outstanding at a time, and since they come bar-coded for your account, you can't just use your own CD. So it has taken quite some time to get all of the photos from a recent trip printed since they take up 4 CD's. Mail one in, wait for the prints, request a new CD, mail it in, wait for the prints, etc...

I like the Internet printers, so I do not want to get them done in a store.

I'm interested in using an older Polaroid for some fine art projects. What kind of camera and film should I look for? I've heard type-59 for color transfers, and type-55 will give me b&w negatives.

I would like family, friends and maybe clients to have access to them...for viewing, sharing or maybe printing. The top two I am considering now are Yahoo and Shutterfly. Yahoo seems mostly free and I can quickly get a print at Target. Shutterfly has a real nice Pro Gallery program, that I would like to know more about. It sounds great...though I don't have the funds for it right now. They also have a pay-ahead program to lower the print price.

There are so many outlets...and some good ones too. I'd like a location to store photos so I can delete them from my card. (I'll have to store a copy of important ones on my hard-drive somewhere??) I would also like a good quality printer who can print my black and whites or colors up to 16" x 20"s.

Thanks for any photo input,
Hangin' for now
