You can not avoid shadows. No matter what color you paint. Your shadows depend on the intensity of the flash lights you use, and the no. of flash lights you use, and your camera aperature/iso settings. Secondly, never paint the wall to use as a backdrop for photography. Always buy a screen (which you can replace any time). Good luck!

Only dark colors will hide shadows, but that isn't always the best backdrop. I would pick a neutral color (off-white or light brown) and just work with camera angles and lighting to avoid shadows.

I would think dark blue to hide shadows but a light blue would make the pictures softer

if you don't want shadows you wold have to paint in a dark colour but if you have lighting it may still shadow anyway. think about what you are filming and how the colour choice may affect it

Probably a darker color, maybe a navy blue or a red or maroon, mahogany

Dappled, pink, mauve, light purple, light blue,white. You dapple it like clouds across the sky.
