Black and white. Composition, and light are so important in this medium, so that I think it trains the eye to see more deeply.
I also think black and white is more dramatic, and I especially like it for portraiture and for architectural elements.
Think of some of the uses of light and shadow Hitchcock used in his old movies, especially stairwells.
I think with black and white, either still or color, you cannot be as sloppy. It requires and even forces discipline that color does not.

I like color photos best. Although, there are times when a well-composed black & white photo can be a thing of beauty.

Depends on the mood of the photo. Babies and children do beautiful black and whites, then there are any that are outside and you want to capture the colors outside and color is best.

It really depends on what I'm trying to accomplish with the photo.
B&W usually provides a more intimate feeling, while color really shows off the fun and excitment of an image.

Black and white photos have, in my opinion, an air of timelessness about them, which colour shots don't. No matter when you've taken it, a black and white shot can look like it was taken many moons ago.

YES! I like both. However, I prefer to make B&W myself. I have my own darkroom and know how to print both Color and B&W films. But I prefer the "fine art" look of B&W and the way it abstracts images by "losing the color" as it makes you concentrate on what you are doing and you have to have a bit of a nack for previsualization to be successful at B&W in order to know in advance if what you are shooting is going to turn out the way you are anticipating!

it is not the point selecting or choosing between these categories.
black&white have some advantages and as well as the colored pictures.it depends on the themes of picturisation.
black&white pics are more appealing, they can create dramatic pics in relevant to unique,majesty,royal,etc..,
while color pics are attractive, cool, portrays the original scene.
color pics are dynamic.

It depends on what the people are doing in the picture. Black and white looks more classy, and color looks fun.
