I love Elliott Erwitt, especially his dog series. Maybe because I mainly photograph animals, especially cats, so he is my inspiration and my mentor.
What I love about his dog pictures is the sense of humor that they convey, and their originality and creativity -- not the typical pet calendar poses. Most of them are snapshots taken in the street. He used to walk around with his camera on him, and whenever he saw a dog, he "captured" him, but always in a unique way.

James Nachtway....He is one photographer I would like to sit down with over a cup of coffee and talk about the medium. He is truly a gifted shooter and one of the best photojournalists in the past 30 years. He just has a knack for being in the right place at the right time.
