before you get all "you need help".. i jsut wrote it out of perspective soo please don't comment stuff like that. i just want to know if you think the poem is written well..it's more of a freestyle..

hi..where was i..
not too long ago
somewhere above the sky?
it was but a drawing of a blank
should i not dream of what i cannot have?
but i dream...
in opaque darkness
nothing there
just an end
nothing there...
just an end
it leads me no where
no where but the End
it might have been nothing but a dream
just with an inch of a pinch
i was able to release , but not let go
'dreams come true'
and they do
it's been a week ,
hands still fresh of gunpowder
boy i feel so alive.

Can I have a kiss

Hazel eyes of crystal glare, stare blankly at thy night,
unaware of envious stares, or those of jealous plight,
eyes of illumination, light up the night's sky,
value worth more than diamonds, shine brighter than Orion, and Andromeda theigh.

Her touch is softer than a rose, petals red and white,
or that of angels hair, or sheep's of Hera's delight,

Her voice... as gentle as pure light, but stronger than a demon's stare,
brings hope to those who wish to see, those who wish to hear.
A flute of Gabreiel, or drum of Dav, An instrument of true delight,
It guides and binds us near, and keeps from things unliked.

Lips are made from phestus, a creater of many and more,
placed perfect and proportinate, and sweet as an apple's core,
a breath of heavens wind, eleogently floats through those tips,
stay still beside me, I just want a breath or two, between our lips

i don't know how the poem goes but it has to do with someone saying that they've never won trophies they've never been great at anything but they've just been a kind person.

Swallows in the wind
Soar into green Spring;
Summer's hot ascent
Breathes beneath your wings.
Winter waits in stones
Unseen beneath the earth
To capture you in storm
And lay you on God's hearth.

I've got nowhere to turn, I've got
nowhere to hide, and I've got no alibi,
You've been following me, you know
my history, and no matter how hard I try,
I can't explain away
The way I feel today
There's only one thing I can say:

You, You've found me.
You found me and You called me from the wilderness,
From my cave of emptiness,
Yeah, You, You've found me.
You found me in the places of my lonliness
You told me there was more than this,
You captured me with tenderness,
Yeah, You've found me.

There was so many days, trying to
figure out ways to explain what I feel inside,
I tried to fill up my soul without
using control, this desire never did subside,
I'm ready to give in
I know I'll never win
The hide and seek that I've been in

In the pit of despair, I was all alone there.
I wasn't looking for You, but You found me anyway.
You put Your hand on face, then you changed my ways.
Nothing can separate me from...

You, You've found me.
You found me and You called me from the wilderness,
From my cave of emptiness,
Yeah, You, You've found me.
You found me in the places of my lonliness
You told me there was more than this,
You captured me with tenderness,
Yeah, You've found me.

Portrait

Such a lovely presence, soft to the touch,
scent of a flower, Acaena and Pyrus.
A beautiful sight those are to behold, but unequaled to your beauty, for that we know.
A tower of angels do you command, creatures of light,
Unmatched when you stand.
Their preying eyes are full of deceit, jealous being, One day they'll drown through God's feat.

A ruby Cardinal flies, stalking your steps,
it tries to learn, see what's so perfect,
For heavenly creature is what you are, accidentally dropped from that white star.

A smile is worth all a Kings gold, a flawless Jewel it is to behold,
it shines and inspires upwards bright, demolishes darkness with a sight.
Bestow goodness to out hearts, your a perfect creature from a world of art.

Homeless Man And The Coat*

I thought it was very cold
That December night...
While driving to my warm
Home.

Until I saw that man, alone,
By the side of the bayou.
He had lit a fire...
Standing too close
In a shirt and pants...
Holding out his hands to
The warmth.

I drove to a place to turn
Around...went back, thinking
There might be danger if
I stop. I stopped...
Gave him my coat.
It was too large on me.

When I drove off, he was putting
That coat on.

Now, he may have done drugs,
May have drank,
May have been a crazy,
Old sort...
But, he wouldn't be cold again
With
The coat.

Answered Questions*

Should I lock the door behind me...
Shut questions out...
Satin pillowcase dreams...
Spirits walk in the bedroom...

My Father carries his pool cue...
My Mother, her dish towel...
Many years. Time stops...
Memories wet the pillowcase...

Tennessee, my beautiful wolf...
Tiptoes to my bed...
Touches her cold nose to my cheek...
Tickles with her eyelashes...

I didn't lock the door...
Pillowcase is dry...
Morning pools of sun...
Light fur, chalk dust on the floor.

.Good Night...

Take a bit of Time...
See your Path.
Use a bit of Sight...
Touch the Thorns.

Warm be your turnings,
In the Mists.
Warm be the memories,
Of your Dreams.

All is peaceful...
All is now right...
Dawn smiles for you,
Through every dark Night.

This Good Night
Is for you...

......Rome's Ninth Legion

Rome's Ninth Legion rode bravely to engage
The Celtic Warriors, protecting land
By rights their ancestral home. Both enraged.
Romans vanished...not even blood-soaked sand.

To this hour, a mystery...
What happened on that day.
No horses, armor ever found...history
And legend...each has its say

About that day...that mist-filled valley.
No Roman, horse, no wagon wheel, ever
Seen again. Legend, history never
Uncovered the truth. Descendants' stories?

Note: This is supposed to be a Disembra(?) .
..........The first is an English Sonnet of ABAB.
..........The second Free Form of ABBA.
..........The third, iambic pentameter.

Oh well, it makes a good story...

The last warm air of summer drew back
as the sun turned away,
the moon was faint through the clouds
turning grey.
Winter opened starless eyes,
her hard breath numbed the ground
where the dead leaves lay.

I thought I saw you today
at a distance
in the crowd.
You looked different somehow,
without me.
Flowers by the roadside
die so quickly in a vase,
you said.

I still find your hair
on my pillow,
your perfume lingers somewhere.

Maybe I'll see you again.

The rain has no sympathy,
spraying bright waves
in the breeze.
I walk,
more thoughtful now
through the shapeless wind,
Long coated in black and memory,
without your hand.

Time passes,
I become less sure of things.
The trees on the riverbank
still wait for you
in silence

death

Everybody dies
Theres no reason to be scared
It's happened for years

It's how you live life
Take a look in the mirror
And what do you see

Not about your cash
No use for it when you're dead
Just think about it

We are all equal
Death does not discriminate
No one gets a pass

All that matters then
Is how you handled your life
Thats the only thing

Just accept your fate
Because when your dead and gone
We are all just dust

Even the hollow reed voices across sand, dry plains,
Startling lilt, notes we can remember.
We can forget. Forgetting is our salvation,
Not reincarnation.
When memory is destroyed, we are spared
Thorns, destiny.
No further life.
Peace be with you.
With you, Father.

To each the choice, known, unknown, of what the
Heart can render. Rending forever, keeping us
Worn, sworn to earth, dust.
Do not erect stones for me, they would keep me
Company. I did not have companionship in
Life, why plague the stones at sunset?
Cover me with thorns, as in life, one reed,
One drum. I clutch music of death,
No salvation, yet reincarnation.
You are in peace. Let me.
Remember me.
Remember.

Who would leave their bed of winter's night
To light dark's ice with wax candle?
Not you, priest...
Bound by law to the body, not soul's grief
Or expansion.
Bound to limit the soul in one direction.
Denial of reed and drum leads voices,
In canto, to ceilings.
Captured. Tonal.
Never twice on key.

To each a choice...thorn, dulled thorn.
Thorn nonetheless.
Vine. Rose.
What redemption after salvation?
Can salvation be redeemed?
Must it, should it, by who's hand...
Long the vine, short the rose.
Together...vining rose of headstones
Rendering hollowness in winter's
Dark ice.
For you who remember...
A candle.

Lizzard

No myth, this dragon, spotted green on green
Monitor of Guam’s think tangan-tangan,
Low and sleek, undulating nose to tail,
Silent, cunning hunter of shrews,
Only the boar, and man, his equal,
Bursts on to the trail with speed alarming,
Northwest Field, unhunted for decades,
A dangerless oasis where life can mature,
Five feet long, this one!
Two hundred pounds, thirty miles per hour,
I yielded the path, letting him lead,
Weaving the palm tree slalom I could not follow,
I slowed to a stop as the canopy lowered,
He moved through the jungle as the master,
I stayed to watch him slip out of sight,
Yet he turned to me, as if to ask for another motorcycle chase.
