People talk about rights in this country at great lenght. I have come to realize that I take exception to the notion that everyone's rights are sovereign. And I do realize that there are times when the rights of the one, are outweighed by the rights of the whole. However, The right to disagree has been trampled upon at great lenght without so much as a whimper. Now I, as a Black Man in this society, have some perspective with regard to alternate points of view. I actually respect the right of 'certain members of society' to feel that I am 'less than an individual'.
Which brings me to my point. What is it about society that has brought about the notion that a persons right to disagree is only valid insofar as it doesn't conflict with the 'politically correct' view of the population at large? And also, why is it that a particular point of view is seen as 'politically correct' when it clearly does not reflect the views of the popular majority?

If you believe that everything happens for a reason… what are some of the lessons we’re supposed to learn and how come certain situations we can’t seemed to let go?

For example, why are people born with certain disabilities whether its physical or mental?

Or why people have to struggle to make ends meet in third world countries?

was lying in bed the other night and was questioning my faith about the creation of the world and the universe.i believe everything has a beginning and an end.And i also believe in order for something to exist it has to be created.something cant come from nothing.

majority of americans believe in god, i think it will be the same in other countries. then why do most people sin all the time? surely if one believes in god then he will believe in an after life and gods judgement? is peoples belief in god sort of half hearted, like global warming? thanks for reading.

how can you ever be sure if what your seeing is really there? most people would think "uhh.. duh? because its infront of me and i am looking at it." well insane people see and feel things that arent there... how can we be sure that the world we experience is not just a figment of our imaginations??

I have noticed over the past couple of weeks that there are more questions that amount to someone asking for feedback on a poem or song they have written. I am curious as to why this is going on.

I know I have posted questions in this category that do not seem related, but I typically have my reasons for doing so.
