What if God created a tree full of edible bibles and it was one of these not a snake which tempted Adam and Eve and caused them to leave The Garden. What if God also were to have created a race of sentient Bibles which would not submit to being read in Churches or elsewhere by man.

If everyone else would grow old and eventually die? I was watching an old episode of "So Weird." The episode was called Rebecca and it took that girl 100 years to grow a year older physically.

I am tempted, I must say. I could have as many lovers as I want yet when I want that one true love, it would be ultimate despair.

This is a common satirical saying and what I really understand by this is true. Means here on yahoo answers too, I see too many philosophers roaming around (including myself) to prove themselves great and thus would keep teaching the asker rather than soothing his wound or say hitting his point. Is'nt this more important for these philosophers to unite themselves and thus improve this way of theirs and as such really solving people's problem? People really need love rather than pure logic.

e.g. if the question is "should stronger be allowed to exploit the weaker?", some of the philosophers would talk about the losers responsibility, some of them would ephasize on the definitions of stronger and weaker and some others would even get into blaming socialism.

do you think of the proposition that thinking itself represents the lunatic fringe of human behaviour?

For example, much of our thinking is repetitive, useless and harmful (e.g. worrying, nurturing grudges).

Doesn't atheism mean disbelief in God, but not denying the existence of God? Which means atheists neither deny nor believe in the existence of God. Or did I get the definition wrong?
I am curious because I heard somewhere that atheists believe that something out there, some supreme being not necessarily God, is behind all this.

Now this is very deep but I have always been facinated with the stars and outer space & I want to travel to a distant galaxy one day but with current technology it would be impractical & impossible. I want to know if there is life on another planet on orbit around another star, so do you think that people who die get to find out?

Everything evil which is known today has been attributed to Nietzsche, who accordingly salivated at the mere thought of chaos and destruction envisioned / prophesized by his brilliant (but perverse?) mind. RIGHT???

After watching a video on World War 1 and the atrocities of the Soviet Partisans and German troops, it makes me think that most humans are incapable of Anarchy because they have no ability of morality.

I just want to hear you chime in or shout out if you want there to be PEACE in the world.

I would ask to those who don't want peace or don't think it's possible or basically don't care to just don't say anything.

This question is for those who truly want PEACE for our planet.

Sound good? OK!

GO!

With all of the exploring that human beings are doing, I would wonder what would happen if we found such a scenario. There are surely many planets that are "suitable." It's just a matter of finding one that offers the "exchange" that humans can tolerate.

The secret to be succesful in life?
What do you think of sucess?
Do you want it?
Happiness maybe is the answer?

Or maybe happiness isn't because there is alot of conflict in this world because we don't understand as we think.

Why do we, mere humans, have a consiciousness? Why was life created in the first place? What is the meaning of life? Do each of us have a goal, a purpose, in life that we're each supposed to achieve? What goal, then, is humanity supposed to achieve as a whole? Or, are we just ignorant little humans who look for a higher meaning when there is none? What do you think about this?

"Consumerism is the equating of personal happiness with the purchasing of material possessions and consumption."

I'm against buying STUFF because I don't feel I need to buy STUFF to be happy. On the other hand, I like music, and buy CD's regularly. I'm not happy just because I bought a case of plastic - I'm in it for the music. Does this contradict my hypothetical stance as an anti-consumerist?

Sometimes I sit on a green top
Contemplating you'r existance in my life
Seems like I'm battling a lost cause
Constantly gazing into the galaxy
Full of fear, and the realization that nothing's real
Worthless doesn't even begin to describe me without you
Resorting to various escapes of reality
Always wondering if I'm good enough
To be just a star, in you'r universe.
