I would definitely choose: to die innocently. Dying innocently gives you a peace of mind with no one to be guilty of. It is a manifestation that you will indeed rest in peace. Living with guilt feeling will haunt your conscience most of the time. That is an ache in the head. I could not live with a bad conscience in my mind and die later with n extra baggage of guiltiness.

Thanks for asking. Have a great day! By the way, welcome to Y/A and you chose a great site especially philosophy section.

To die innocently. Unless the guilt is over something smaller than a huge mass murder. Then I would take comfort in the fact that God forgives all sins and I could make a fresh beginning.

I would love to say "die innocently" but for me that is simply never going to happen. Having survived combat overseas many years ago has left a heavy pack on the back of my soul, and that pack has absolutely nothing to do with being a "Mass murder" or murder period. War strips away the innocence of all who play its game...

to be deaf = innocence

to close ears = ignorance

=> trying to be innocence = ignorance.

to feel bad = guilty

to feel sorry = regret

regret - innocence + ignorance = feeling guilty

living : life :: dying : death

Guilt is a small price to pay for life.

I also suspect if you have no guilt,
you probably haven't been living.
