I'm a knitter. I used to carry a knitting project in my car and only work on it while I was waiting. I had six children at home then. I spent a LOT of time waiting to pick up kids, waiting while kids saw the dentist, etc. I usually made two sweaters a year, entirely during the time I waited for kids.
Many years ago, I said that all women were "ladies in waiting". My generation waited to get married, waited to have babies, waited for the babies to all get weaned and potty trained, waited for the kids to start school, etc. We were always putting our own desires, wants, on hold until some event happened. Some time in the 70's, that made me angry! I decided that I was going to get at least a little piece for myself... just something that was MINE and not wait for it. Friends of mine felt the same way. Instead of waiting until the kids were older to do something, we began trying to get a few hours here and there to devote to our own ideas/projects. For me, it was preparing to go to nursing school by studying books on medical terminology, anatomy, etc. I'd have to get up early to steal a few hours for myself. One of my friends always wanted to be a potter and began working with clay in her garage late at night :-) At that time, it was a revolutionary idea that a woman was entitled to some time of her own..... that we MINDED waiting......

Hello Rena, I have never been a patient person, waiting is something I just don't do well, your question made me think about something though, maybe that's where I went wrong in the past, always in a hurry to grow up, so it lead me in the wrong direction, if I would have waited it may have been different. But today I am living, there is no waiting or reason to be in a hurry, I am content.

None! I abhor waiting, so I always bring along something to read. That way I convince myself that I'm not really waiting, I'm just catching up on my reading.
I don't do meetings, either. It's the biggest waste of time in the world...and frankly I don't have enough time left to waste any...I wish other people realized just how short life is.

I usally act instead of waiting, I am a person who hates waiting for anything so, I usually do not wait for anything. So, I live for now.

Only because of stupid people. On the other hand, patience is a virtue if ignored completely may lead to shame.
The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

patience is a virtue, but I donot wait for someone to do what
is my responsiblity. There are various types of waiting and the most of it is out of our control, especially when we are put on, "Hold" Plan but do not plan the out come. It is eaiser to get into things then to get out of them, some caution is some times called for.

Yes, unfortunately, but much of that waiting's necessary. But I try to make the most of it.
