“Before you come alive, life is nothing; it’s up to you to give it a meaning, and value is nothing else but the meaning that you choose. In that way, you see, there is a possibility of creating a human community” (60).

“Man is nothing else than his plan; he exists only to the extent that he fulfills himself; he is therefore nothing else than the ensemble of his acts, nothing else than his life” (47).

“And when we say that a man is responsible for himself, we do not only mean that he is responsible for himself, we do not only mean that he is responsible for his own individuality, but that he is responsible for all men” (36).

“Atheistic existentialism, which I represent, is more coherent. It states that if God does not exist, there is at least one being in whom existence precedes essence, a being who exists before he can be defined by any concept, and that this being is man, or, as Heidegger says, human reality” (35).

i done a bit of looking up on the "top contributers" i noticed a few common characteristics.

1. answers that previously got best answer are repeated (literally copy/paste job) for similar questions.

2. they answer many questions but ask very few (asking cost 10 pts)

3. the ppl that give them best answer chose them because who they are not because of the quality of the question (eg a fan or a contact)

finally id like to acknowledge that although i say this there ARE many top contributers that do try their best.

do u think i am paranoid? jealous? or just lame for bringing up such a subject? wts r opinion?

PS
no i am not going to point my finger to specific top contributers do u own research

No, I don't think so. Humans are constantly brainwashed for war and violence. Just look how "popular" are electronic games of violence and "action movies". Yes, we "long" for peace. That's understandible. But our society, especially this one of USA, loves "war". What do you think?

I predict that the end of the world will happen on Jan. 4, 2032 at 12:05 A.M. Greenwich time. (WHAT IS YOUR PREDICTION?)

We have deciphered the genome of humans and other species. We have successfully cloned living organisms including mammals. We have landed men on the moon and brought them back safely. We have sent rovers searching for signs of life on Mars.

IS IT A COINCIDENCE that for the first time in human history we have the potential of surviving somewhere in the universe beyond this globe we have always called home? Is God beckoning us to move on?

We know that the Universe is completely balanced and fair. For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.

For every force, there is a counter-force. This goes down to the tiniest electron and this law always stays true.

The total energy in the Universe remains constant.

So, picture a person who has suffered most of their life. They had a short, painful, agonizing life.

At the same time, there is another person who had a great, long life. Very few physical pains, never hungry, plenty of sex and orgasms etc.

Obviously, these two people had completely different lives.

How do you think the Universe, which is fair and harmonized, will correct the inequalities experienced by these two individuals??

Scientists, genuises....when you picture anyone of high intelligence, do you not agree that they always have glasses?

OK extremists, I know not ALL smart people wear glasses, and I know that not all who wear glasses are scientists, so don't go off on a tangent about that, just bear with me here...

Does the intelligence gene lead to poor eyesight, or is it completely coincidence?

Scientific research has uncovered two different types of consciousness or "soul".

One is associated with a more materialistic or atheistic mentality, termed the "A soul " and the other is associated with a more spiritual, sensitive or religious mind, termed the "R soul ".

Do you think you are an "A soul" or an "R soul " ?
