No, I don't think so. Humans are constantly brainwashed for war and violence. Just look how "popular" are electronic games of violence and "action movies". Yes, we "long" for peace. That's understandible. But our society, especially this one of USA, loves "war". What do you think?

Probably not. Especially if Americans have anything to do with it. We're too selfish, spoiled, rude & ignorant, as a whole. Sure everyone WANTS peace, but how many ppl actually work TOWARD it? We're so stuck on ourselves that we really don't care about other ppl. If we ALL just cared a little more about how things would affect other ppl, or if we ALL didn't HAVE to have everything we want, maybe there'd be more of a chance toward peace, but in my opinion... never gonna happen.

Well, no matter what you say.... somewhere deep down inside of you, some deep part of you knows that it is possible to have peace in our world - otherwise you wouldn't show doubt by asking this question.

If there is a possibility, then it is possible. if it is possible, the there has to be a way - maybe the right question here would be - what do we do to get there?

The first time in history the humankind stepped on this path was by establishing the United Nations, whose goal is securing international peace and cooperation. Even though it is not the best example - it ceratinly is the first step towards peace - actually the second step, to be precise. The first was the League of Nations, whose only success was The International Court of Justice - so you see... we are slowly getting there....even if it is in 1 thousand years I believe it is possible.

I would agree, we'll never have a long-lasting peace. Especially if you look at entertainment. Drama = Conflict = Violence. Also that young people today are getting desensitized toward violence with the music and videogames that they are exposed to.

No...or at least at this rate. Peace starts of with not being greedy/self centered, then you have to start caring for others out of good will (no forced). The only way I can see peace is if we start EDUCATING people that we shouldn't be self-centered and love one another then do the same for leaders of countries.

(Will there ever be peace in our world) -

I DON'T believe so,

I think that we "tend" towards living more harmonic/peaceful lives.

There is much violence in our society and perhaps that is what makes us human.

we make mistakes, we fold under pressure, we even betray our close freinds for our own benifit.

i would disagree that the USA "LOVES" WAR maybe such a statement is quite harsh.

if OTHERS can see such manipulation and harshness as you CAN then perhaps there is still HOPE!!

peace and god bless!!

Peace will exist in the universe, just not universal peace. Peace exists within all of us. So does war and violence. We cannot destroy violence, but we cannot destroy peace either. We can become at peace with ourselves, and then we add some overall peace to the world at large. But of course, not everyoen is capable or motivated enough to coem to peace with themselves, so universal peace can never exist.

Peace is within me, peace is within you. Peace exists in our hearts and minds, coexisting with so many other conditions, emotions and thoughts.

The Bible says that there'll be an enduring international peace, even though it could come out of a conflagration, a war. i think of we are heading that way and that's going to be a war between the East and the West. undergo in ideas assorted Bible prophesies have come real.

Humans are capable of choosing our behaviour. Blaming others and other things for our aggression will result in ongoing aggression.

I have the choice to pick up a weapon. I also have the choice to put one down.

What choice will you make? I make the choice to not physically harm others.
