There are many "missing links" in evolution we have not discovered yet. The first life forms were more like individual cells, than they were like "creatures." (there may be something in-between the two that resulted in either one or both...we just don't have enough information, which is why the question seems "impossible to answer") However...
Cells are more like eggs, than chickens, and therefore, given the limitations of your queston, I would have to choose the egg.
The "chicken" is the "egg's" way of making more eggs...
But both are delicious breakfast foods, so whatever came first...
Neither one gets "preferential" treatment.
The incredible, edible egg gets my vote.

yeah
evolution is just a fancy word for a mutation
when either the male or female sex cell of some animal mutated the child became muted hence the first chicken. over time these animals kept mutating to become chickens. since the change fist occurred in the sex cell of that animal, the egg came first

umm, i'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but the egg came WAY first. From fish evolved amphibians, from amphibians evolved reptiles, and from reptiles evolved mammals and birds. Since fish and reptiles and amphibians lay eggs, the egg came first definetely.
