.. your military advisors want your approval to bomb an enemy munitions factory. The factory however is located near a school, and if the mission is carried out, many children will die. Do you approve the mission? Please be scholarly about your answers. They must be based on the application of clear concepts, not one's personal feelings. For example, a nihilist would say do it because, in essence, nothing really matters anyway. I have a grad paper due on a similar topic, and I am just looking for some input.

....There is no meaning we are simply creations of nature, there is no meaning to life and if people feel there is its because they desperately want to cling onto thier belief that they have a purpose maybe mothers have purposes towards htier children, but generally humans serve no purpose only to themselves, people are scared of addmitting they have no reason for being on this planet, even progress isnt a purpose its just a lifeline

Senses: Hearing, Seesing, Feeling, Touching, Smell.
If we didnt have any senses, is that the same as dead.
So does that mean Soul is made up of senses?
Now what does the senses made up of? Energy?
Or are the senses made up of soul as well?
Soul- Sense-Soul circle? Of coarse though this souls are created. The creater is the one only.

I asked the we only need 3 things to survive air water and food question. It sucks we can't reply to each answer but some of the answers I recieved posed more questions. Instead of attempting to take a sober look at the ridiculousness of what we are ALL doing you attack the one who poses the question. Trying to make a hypocrite out of them, labeling them whiner, this renders the question they are asking obsolete thus absolving us from any responsibility of changing things. I never claimed to not be a contributer (you came up with that one on your own) but once in awhile a person will poke their head up from this insane dream and way of life and try to make some sense of it and nudge others. Maybe don't shoot them down and try and discredit them in an attempt to cop out and do nothing.

This quote is from 'Hamlet' by William Shakespeare.

Should we stop discussing philosophy in forums like this, and just accept that there are some things that cant be explained?

Will an endless search for the 'truth' just subvert our limited knowlege?

The whole period of evolution of man on earth, since he was a unicellular organism until he acquired the graceful and beautiful form it has now, can be condensed and observed in the nine months of gestation in the womb. In that environment, an aquatic medium, life begins as a unicellular organism and takes the shape of a beautiful baby at the end.
Life on earth started in the sea. An aquatic medium like the womb. Khalil Gibran says: "There must be something strangely sacred in salt. It is in our tears and in the ocean." That unicellular organism was however always destined to be a man and not anything else.
During the gestation the fetus may resemble a tadpole or may look like the fetus of an ape. Nevertheless it always was and had the potential to become a human being. So even though fossil remains may prove that human beings at some point during their evolution were balancing themselves from trees from their own tails, they were always human beings and not apes.
What do you think?

I'm sure that far too many people ask this question every day, but i'm oh-so-utterly confused. I am a young person, and it seems like any feelings that we may have are condescended upon by adults, who seem to know the meaning of everything. I'm not trying to say that all young people are really in love when they write things all over their binders and in their profiles, but what if? What if we do fall in love?

Ask yourself, is this the world, a Hollow world with Fake Respnsibilities? Isn't it? We are bound to responsibilities, responsibilities that fetter us from being free. Are we unfree? What's the purpose we live in Earth, as i find out all the things are ephermeral, nothing last permenantly?

I am falling to no motivation, but not yet considered to commit suicide. I am not pessimistic person, cos i am sure myself is not. But i have a dream, a dream would grant me happiness, although it's not an ambitious dream. Aristotle, are your words appliable to this world which is made up by cruel reality?

"Archieve your happiness which can be attainable" Is it possible?
