I'm not sure of your age, but you did mention you're young. I am in high school and have strong opinions about people my age being in love. I don't believe that most people in high school can fall in love. They don't know nor understand the tasks they will face when they have to pay the bills, have to take out a mortgage, make car payments. They're living in a fantasy world and their love being harbored by simplicity. However, if you are out of high school, and living on your own. You very well could be in love. Even if your still with your parents it's possible...
Love is really just that thing you have to wait. If you're questioning it, than it's possible that you're getting there. Everybody takes a different amount of time to fall in love. Usually it shouldn't take less than 2 or 3 months. But if you do fall in love, you will feel like the blood pumping through your veins is redder and you will feel more alive.
And this is a question that can only be based solely on opinion and personal experience.

The behaviors you described in your question are signs of infatuation or lust--which are perfectly normal by the way. Lots of solid relationships start off with those feelings.
In order for those feelings to evolve into what we call "love" there has to be a genuine respect and a sincere wish for that person to be happy no matter what. The desire to treat the other person well, treat that person with compassion, realize that they are less than perfect and accept them anyway and to be intimate with them also have to factor in.

Love is a very strong feeling one has to another. Everyone feels love. Even babies and dogs. Adults look down upon children when they say they're in love because they have forgotton the days when they were young and in love.

You are talking about puppy love. Real love comes when two people with a lot in common want to build a life together and have children.
Two people who fall in step and complement each other, no arguing just compromise.
Two people who accept each other as they are and recognize the other's faults and can live with them.

"Lust is what keeps you wanting to do it even when you have no desire to be with the other person. Love is what keeps you wanting to be with the other person even when you have no desire to do it."
In middle/high school, my definition of "friendship" (all this is from a girl's perspective) is when you enjoy talking to a boy, but you would be weirded and/or creeped out if he asked you to a school dance. My definition of "having a crush" is you decide that a boy is really good-looking and fantasize about you two dating or whatever, but don't know him well at all. "Liking" someone is like having a crush, only you know him and like his personality, too. Love is similar to "liking" a boy, but deeper. You'll know when it happens.

Feelings come and go. Love is a commitment to a person, even when that warm tingly feeling of love goes away.
