Never, who thinks always grows in knowledge. After death our life go on, so we have to think about that.

Yes, thinking too much can make one go astray, try to focus on the issue at hand and do your best with THAT & deal with one issue at a time.

You'll find out when it happens!

Because you're going astray now thinking too much!

Depends what you are thinking of. Of course humans are thinking beings, and we haven't all gone astray. We do not know what it is like to be dead. No one came back to tell us.
Why are you thinking like this, most of us have thought like you. It is a stage you are going through.
However, I had an out of body experience in the emergency room in Morristown Mem. Hosp. N.J. I was up in a corner of the room watching the doctors trying to revive me on the gurney below. I was dismayed that my sandals were ruined with blood, esp. in the stitching. I was sorry for my husband who was weeping, (he is an MD) and while I was up in the corner I felt wonderful, all was pink and soft, I didn't feel alone, there was soft music all around...and then I heard the doctor say "Look her Blood Pressure is back, it's coming back..."
I felt a quick swish as I rejoined my body.....
I will not be afraid to die, because of that wonderful feeling I had up in the corner of the emergency room, being absolutely out of my physical body.

The part of the brain that is used for thinking is undeveloped and uses a lot of energy. Therefore it is also too slow for many problems. The emotional part of the brain is much much faster since it evolved much sooner.
Your questioning is perfect, it is a good sign.
You will not die, although your body will.

There is more than one way to experience life. One is thinking which produces emotions which become our experience. A sign of thinking too much is when your ideas seem to be unproductive more than they are productive, The other is increased awareness, which thinking interfers with. By becoming more aware and focusing ones attention on what is in your present environment your faculty of awareness becomes developed. With continued practice one becomes aware of profound insightes never available through the thought process.
You might say thinking is mostly about ego. Developing awareness is about coming to know who/what we are in essence.

I dont think it can make you "go astray", but I do think that overthinkin some things can paralyze you.

As in, youre too busy overthinkin everything instead of movin your life forwards.

o yeah. when you think too much into it you lose yourself and then you forget what you originally thought. I do it alot. its because according to the bf I have to think worst case senarios all the time. or i think toooo oooo way tooo far ahead, but i get interested in the topic and i explore alternative outcomes, haha i'll use that excuse on him later when he tells me i think too much. i think it helps me to think more openly to other possiblities and when something comes up I can have other alternative instead of one.

"thinking outside of the box"

Thinking is good...Not thinking and acting on impulse can lead to trouble...When we die, we sleep...that is my opinion...I think that life is full of adventure, so death is like a longer wait...We will wait for Judgement Day...and then we will either go to hell or to heaven...I think...
