You would still be getting paid something; it isn't free. Does this constitute generosity?

Is life one big question that will be answered in the end? Or is it one big answer and we just don't know the question? Possibly many questions with many different answers? Can we ever know the answer and if not, does it make sense to try and figure life out? Is a life wasted questioning a wasted life or is it the other way around and one should always question? We can never truly hope to figure it out in this life, so should we even bother? Perhaps there is no meaning at all. I realize this is all very generic and people could say just about anything to answer it. That's why I asked.

Here is an example, i like helping people. I feel acomplished knowing i made someones life just a little bit better. When i do get the oppurtunity to help, and i do, the rest of my day is absolutely wonderful. Alot of people could care less about helping someone. I thought since i was human that i shared these same qualitys with other folk. Do we as peopel feel the same about things, do we as humans have any emotional common ground?

What philosophy best fits with this:

Humans have no way of predicting the future and have no connection to the future or the past. Therefore, when making a decision is it impossible to really know the complete future of the decision, and it is also impossible to completely understand all the history behind the decision.

So when making a decision, humans will not be able to make the absolute best decision. So humans are, by default, always going to make wrong decisions.

Can anyone tell me if there is a philosophy that addresses anything like this?

I answered this question for another Yahoo member by saying the egg came first and you deleted it, so I'm makeing it known so everyone can see for themselves that your edit delete is not logical and completely stupid. For you to stop people from helping others makes absolutely no sense whats so ever.

to what extent do you think we have free-will..why?

Now of course the question of prolonging human life is different but not so different. First, I am neutral on this subject neither pro-life or against pro-life since everyone, unless the person is suicidal or a sadist wants others to have a better life.

The problem as always is with the details. Should a person who is on life support and appears to be suffering be disconnected just as you would wake a dreaming child from a nightmare?

Personally, and I will not say what church or political persuasion I belong to, I would say that after a reasonable period of time, life support should be turned off.

Why? many of you could perhaps come up with better reasons but first, modern medical care is so expensive that maintaining life support frivolously will first ruin the family and in the long run ruin our society.

Second, if you love someone, why prolong suffering?--which is the most important question: the decision is for the individual or the family, not the government!

I'd love to sign up to go to that place where there are nothing but women, nothing but female adults, I would love to wait on all of them because if I went to a world with nothing but women and none of them would be married or taken, I would then love to wait on all of them, hmmm, perhaps like 3 billion of them, cool, and I'd love to be their servant, butler, back scratcher, clown, and there would be no tears there cause there would be nothing to make them sad, only me to make them cry tears of joy because I would be respecful of all of them, just like I'd know it would be a place where Marilyn Monroe went after she left this place, I would fo find her cause I know with all my heart that even princess diana would be there and so would all the wonderful women who left this place behind. Please, tell me where I sign up. Come on dudes, use your imaginations lest you're one of those guys who likes to hurt and upset women just cause you can you coward. Love, rm pinkfeet.

I wonder what happened in there, I mean really really happened, how did I come out of that place. Its an easy answer but a very complex and difficult equation, we are all in the equation and the devil is in the works, plus god is overlooking each and every aspect of life, especially when we were in that place where we grew in conception. Wow!
