It is cold in Chicago, Illinois. I am so sick of this job it makes me sick. I have to work it, I can't stand to work at nights
I vomit a lot. My nerves get to me so much that I vomit. This job has made me vomit

Me and Cordova work the same job right there in Hodgkins, Illinois. That job is the worst job ever.

I had that same job over at Hodgkins right off of 294. I had a little baby at the time and was trying my best to support him on the little bit I earned there. I lose nearly 30 pounds within a month of when I started there. The job is hard and I too experienced much suffering during that period of my life. My girl who is now my ex was not honoring her commitment to me so I was dealing with that also. I wanted to die at that time but I did not give up. I am doing much better now. Hang in there kid I can relate.

The easiest answer (and the most true) is that you do not know what might happen tomorrow (or next week). It might be hard to envision at the moment, but you don't have to stay at that job, and you don't have to even stay in Chicago. Tough to make changes? Yes. Millions of people do it every day. They start by believing it can happen.
After 20 yrs of marriage, I wound up divorced. At the time, I did not believe I would ever find someone else.. but I did. Things change in ways that we CANNOT imagine, when blocked by depression.
I live with severe depression 24/7, so not here to give you any b.s. You don't want to hear the reasons. You have to take it on faith that others DO know what it is like. Getting past it is not easy at all, but it can be done.
Everyone on this planet is a worthwhile person, somehow. Your worth as a human being is not something you earn by doing something, It simply is. For one minute, accept that. Get through one day at a time, or one hour at a time, if that is what it takes. Like exercising, you have to start small and work your way up. Don't be afraid to ask for help somewhere, if only to find a email buddy, or a hobby online. There ARE real people at the other end of that keyboard.
You have YOU to live for.

So you can find out answers to life's questions.
Right now the job market is tough, and getting any job can be hard. But if you dont like you job, you should be applying for something different that you can find more fullfillment doing. I think UPS is a government job and would look good on your resume. Yet you might want to study up on the work conditions and other things even if it is the night shift. I have done it before too..all night jobs are horrible because your asleep when everyone else is working and vice versa. You also might need to do it because of college classes only offered during the daytime.
for the vomit thing, I would see a doctor to get something to steady your nerves. for life, you need to do something you enjoy because you go to work to get paid. Try to get good at something you like that people will pay you for. Some jobs have other people making you $$ and/or you can do something you have fun with.

Notify HR of the problem, and if you can't get satisfactory change in you work situation, give your notice. Then at least you might have grounds to fight for your unemployment compensation.
Working in a crappy job is your choice, after all. There are many other less crappy jobs in the world. Usually the only thing lacking is management with a morale-based awareness. Those workplaces do exist, or you could work harder to make yours that way.
But please don't blame your circumstances if you don't make a reasonable effort to change. Try hospitality, I have had some sweet hotel jobs.
The point of staying alive is to see what comes next.
You probably would be happy if you were healthier, that is often an unrecognized problem among the depressed. I'm with you, I know that pain. But I also know it is something I can change, so give it a try.
Change is the only constant.

The first question to ask yourself is NOT why should I keep on living yet rather what do I want from life? I used to live and work in Indiana, so I do know about the cold and chill out there. Plus, living in Chicago, there are many jobs indoors that you can find that would allow you better hours of work and area to advance too! Were I in your shoes, I'd at the very least ask some of my friends if they thought a visit to a counselor could possibly help me with the obvious depression I'm experiencing. It never hurts to ask you know!

Get a job in the daytime-it could be the lack of daylight which is making you feel depressed and nervous. Get something that allows you to be outside and active. Even something like refuse collecting would make you feel miles better, I'm sure.
I've been there and know how you feel. You need to make a change, take a risk...anything that would make you feel alive
You know you can do it. Don't give up on life that easily. You need to change thigns for yourself and find meaning in the world. Why not try doing something to make someone else happy. It's amazing how much better it can make you feel knowing you've done good. Good luck!

Spring follows Winter and Summer follows Spring and the sunshine is better than winning the lottery, because we all get a share of it.
Cheer up.

Stand up brother, you are not the only one suffering from bad job,bad salary, feeling exhausted al lthe time....etc
The life is full of beauty,of course sometimes it's bad and turn it's back to the people, but that doesn't mean we have to hate the life and ignore it's bright side.
There are many things to be happy in this life, your family, wife and children, may be ur car is a source of happiness,pets-if any-will ease the life...etc.
Don't ever let black ideas to echo in your brain, try to have a walk with ur fiancee or wife to the beach or to mountains, drive ur car and listen to one of ur favourite singers(I'll recommend it's beautiful life for Luis Armstrong),u can hang out and walk with ur dog,u can take ur kids to the cineam,u can do many many things brother.
This is my motto in life, think about it and tell me ur opinion:
"Love,Live,Give and Forgive"

Take a vacation and maybe look for another job in a warmer state. May you be blessed and even though life may stink someone will always be praying for you even if they don't know you.

As long as there is life, there is hope, and , since sooner or later we are going to die, it might be wise to wait and see what is next.
The ultime happiness is to have everything you want. But this is impossible(you may wish if you could visit another galaxy, or possess all the gold of the world). There is only only one solution that enables you to have everything you want: is to want nothing at all.In this case, and exclusively in this case you will possess everything: that is zero! let things lose their value in your eyes so that , when you lose them you lose nothing or very little.
