First of their was no beginning or end of time right? People say that when we die we are gone forever but how can this be? Ask your self this, how would we have been born in the first place if their had been no beginning of time? Also ask your self this we could be born again because we have been dead forever before we were born into this life we have now? Not only that we remember and forget stuff but at the end of the day you are you are still you and the same could be said in your past life but you just cant remember? Hope you all understand what i think of life anyhow LOL.

Is evolution now fact? Do you believe this? If so, why? And, what evidence do you have to back up your belief? Just so we're clear... I am not refering to that part of observable science called natural selection. I'm referring to evolution (you know "molecules evolving into man" historical science type stuff). Oh, and if you have the name of the scientific article or report that states that evolution is now fact, please provide it. I would love to check it out. Thanks!

Would you:

1) Claim yourself as the missing apostle and begin your own religion

2) Keep God's information for yourself for egotistical reasons

3) Check yourself into a mental institution

Would you change your religion if it was Shiva or Allah talking to you?

I'm doing a report and I need lots of opinions on this theory. Here are the basics of what it says:

People everywhere are experiencing pain in their lives because they do not reach their full potential.

Times have changed, and people need to become great not just effective.

To become great you must find your voice and inspire others to find theirs.

So if you can do this, you can heal the pain in your life.

So what is your take on this? The more answers I get the better, so please don't hold back! Thank you!!!

Now that you think about it, nihilism just seem to make the most sense. Now dictionary.com defines it as -- an extreme form of skepticism: the denial of all real existence or the possibility of an objective basis for truth. That last part is where I take notice. I think human beings cannot find "objectivity for truth" due to our limitations as human beings. I think this even goes into Nietzschean theory (I know Nietzsche was anti-nihilist, but bear with me), where the human being "sublimes" or becomes something greater. I think this is the only way ultimate truth or objectivity of it can be found for humans, but since there has yet to be sublimation of mind I therefore think no objectivity is possible, and thus nihilistic thought is the only conceivable option for man to partake in. Any thoughts?? (Please no evangels here, I'm looking for serious thought)

It saddens me that so many feel that God hates them. That they have a creator who despises them, and wishes them harm and pain. Those who feel like this (or something like it), where is this feeling of hatred coming from for you PERSONALLY?

*Please no generalities about the "disasters in the world, etc." Please respond from your personal life and experience with life.

We romans have searched this subject long and studied its course in every measure and we have been quite successful, due to our rebellious nature. Tell us,please, your visions of this horrible realm of consquence.

Yes, I am assuming you believe in God....I don't get it, is earth special in its placement in the universe? We already know, unlike before, that the earth is not sorrounded by all the planets. We are simply a peice of cosmic dust. So why THIS cosmic dust and not a different peice of cosmic dust?

If you, at minimum, can imagine how you "COULD be taken to have a property" and want confirmation whether the property really inheres, because you feign imperceptibility, then your work is already done.

Taking ANY object, the possibly perceived property is just what it means to be a property. And without any philosophical reflection, you are aware of that immanently when you encounter, for instance, a red apple under various sources of light.

Who will argue for the anorexic (surely, she is not fat though she perceives it!)? Or the pseudo-suicidal? Tell me a story how they misjudge, and why some questions of the form "Am I X?" can have a negative answer.

Is it really only the fear of death? It seems that if death were simply the ceasing of existing, there would be nothing to fear. So why do people create things to fear?
