3. Well... I don't know I'd check myself into a mental institution but I would probably label myself as going insane. But then, does a crazy person really know they're crazy?

the first answer is too public, the second is just thinking of yourself, and the third is only if you think that you are going insane and you shouldn't if you are able to ask yourself if you are going insane or not. I would think it would be some random thought that popped out of nowhere and wonder if it is something that others should know about, then I would determine what to do with it next. I hightly doubt I would change my religion if it were Shiva or Allah talking to me because I tend to go in my own direction and not some direction that others are pushing me towards. Besides, it could always be something unreasonable like a "carrot and stick" sort of talk, which is what I see in a few religions that I know of (which is rather unreasonable since many of the beliefs contridict each other, are from many different sources and not one is the original, or warped around so it would be for their personal gain) or stating that "this is the only path, so take it (which is also unreasonable, since there are too many paths to count and there is no one correct choice.)

When rational people who are not psychotic hear a "voice" or some other very strange phenomonon manifests, there may be a fearful, superstitious response for a spit second. But, then, most people immediately incorporate into their "world view" the addition of the "phenomonon" as new reality. In other words, when people experience the unknown, they simply move the boundries of the unknown back so that, although they do not understand the phenonomon, they consider it reality. My first reaction would be to ask the voice where it was and could I go there to visit, as though it were simply another satient creature.

I would do none of the above. But if I did hear a disembodied voice - if I hadn't recently hit my head hard - I might strike up a conversation. Figure out where it was "coming from". If I could audio tape it that might mean something. If not, then maybe go to a doctor to see if I have a brain tumor.
Then again, I might just remember my cell phone ear piece and go - "Duhhh!" "You know Joe, you sound JUST like God. Ha-ha."
This is more of a theology than philosophy question.

I will know that is him so no for 3, I am so afraid of him so no for 2, There is only one religion and god did teach us all through our history he will be telling same things and no need to make my own religion I will continue to teach same things so no for 1. If I am in wrong way I could change my religion to what he wants me to be. And I would ask him an egotist question "DO YOU LOVE ME ?" just to hear from him

1) Here's how I'd do it!
Change my name to Josetta Smith formally known as Budshivta Cathlumethmusjew. Find 12 men or women to learn from my teachings. Bang on tambourines while speaking in unknown tongues on the streets of Hollywood. Take some flag twirlers hip hop dancers for eye candy. Talk to celebrities who need more publicity. Travel from state to state like it's a circus looking for charity or donations. Every little bit counts. God bless everyone. Make a new statue so people can have something to look at when they pray. Make them change their diet and dress so you can recognize my followers. Yeah....that would be cool.
Make my followers listen only to music I like called trance or techno........yeah. I would also control who marries whom and see that we all get government assistance as well. I would not permit anyone to have more than one lover or they would be tortured and publicly humiliated. I would be the only exception of course with as many men as I choose. All the best looking men of course would be mine.
Sex would be a very important part of my religion. I would have to counsel every person who wants to do it and decide if they are ready. The men would be separated from the women, like elephants later to come together for procreation.
Yes, I would make them build a private community, where only I control the funds going in and out. That would be cool. That's a lot of power for one person. Thanks for asking!
If none of this works I would move my followers to a secluded area like Waco, or Guam and carry a riffle or make everyone drink cyanide to free them. That's only if the government comes after me.

Well it would depend on the circumstance in my life and what God would speak to me right then that would affect what choice I would make. I would choose 2 not for egotistical reasons but to confirm by God's written word and others who may or may not know my circumstance then I would know it truly was God's word.
