It saddens me that so many feel that God hates them. That they have a creator who despises them, and wishes them harm and pain. Those who feel like this (or something like it), where is this feeling of hatred coming from for you PERSONALLY?

*Please no generalities about the "disasters in the world, etc." Please respond from your personal life and experience with life.

When one believes that God is Almighty and Creator of all, and believes that this Almighty, Supreme One is Omnipotent and Omniscience and always in control of everything (as the Bible says), it is inconceivable to believe that anything can happen to one without the knowledge and permission of God. Therefore, if HE cares and/or loves "ME," why did HE not stop this or that from happening to "ME"?

Long and short - It takes someone who loves (or loved), believes in the word of God and depended upon God to be angry with God.

Which god are you referring to? If you are intending to have a discussion about a specific divinity, you are in the wrong place (even in the right place, you'll probably have to specify which one you're referring to).

As for why I think there is a god who hates people... I know it for a fact for the simple reason that a god has overtly told me as much. It's hard to dispute this kind of communication; any god worthy of the name has means of speaking that cannot be reasonably questioned.

If it makes you feel better, there are other gods who feel differently about things. Still, the most obvious answer to your question is that some people feel that they are hated by a god because it's completely so. I challenge you to name any diety who is never depicted as hating somebody or something. To my knowledge, no such animal exists.

God is a creation of the typical human mind. If you think God hates you then it may mean that you hate yourself. Most people who believe in God, also have an idea of what sin is. They also know that God (in their own minds) sees sin as bad, and for that reason (knowing their own sins, so well) think God "hates" them.

I know lots of people who believe in God and are sure God loves them, no matter how evil they may be. Why? Because God will forgive them. All they have to do is ask. If I believed in God, that would make me feel pretty happy.

Some children are taught from an early age about "sin" and "Heaven and hell." These ideas form the basis for a cruel god. Children should not be taught to fear god. Those raised this way do believe that they have a creator who hates them.

Ok, you want personal experience? In 2005 I spent some time in India. While I was there I witnessed great poverty, disease, and misery in the slums. I don't feel that God hates me because my life is very good. I do feel that God, if he exists, must hate the children born in to the lower castes, subject to a life of poverty, disease, intense labor, and finally an early death.

I personally don't feel hated by God - then again, I don't believe in the man-made God of religion - that Being with the human attitudes of hatred, judgment, jealousy or revenge.
I suspect that this 'hated' feeling comes from the human preaching about a God their religion fashioned from insecurity.

I think it is in large part due to a misunderstanding that most people have. A very frequent question is why does God allow bad things to happen to us. The typical answer is "free will". I however believe that when bad things happen to us or we are struggling in life it is an invitation from God to love him as he loves us...unconditionally. Once you can realize this the seemingly bad things in life are in fact good. Without challenges we would not grow spiritually. Remember that patience is the crucible by which God molds our love.

I don't believe that Bog hates me nor do I blame him for any bad that happens in my life. I love Bog very much.

It's man that I feel hates me because he is not perfect and I won't FOLLOW THE STUPID BOOKS HE CLAIMS WERE INSPIRED BY BOG/GOD. I don't care what man thinks because he is not my maker nor my judge. Therefore, man cannot save me.

If I was to write a book today and say, I was inspired by GOD, it would be just another book. Although I would use references like so many authors have. I refuse to be specific on names. But BOOKS, BOOKS, BOOKS..............I'll only take from these books what I want---as food for thought.

i do no longer think that they experience hatred coming from God,it incredibly is extra like their own anger and frustration that lies deep interior and so as that they won't be able to comprehend inner peace, this might properly be a vicious circle that could in easy terms be broken with the help of conversion to Christ.

Essentially it's because of the way they are treated by people who believe in a God or supreme being. Based on that one or many experiences of people of faith they formed that opinion.

For people who have turned away it's because of life's difficulties. And that's understandable.
