What does it say about mankind that we are still grapling with exactly the same kinds of issues...?

...as we did 2000 years ago?

People still refer to Plato, Aristotle, and such who cite political, social, and economic problems they had which we also still have.

In fact, I don't think mankind has 'solved' a single socio-economic problem (not even slavey which still exists, 2000 years later!) in the world while technology (as it is independent of human nature) continues to be man's most valuable tool.

what do you think about dreams and ambitions...i have my own opinion about them...are you one of those depressing people who just hopes the right thing will hit you in the head while your sitting on the couch? or are you like me...someone who does everything in thier power to achieve thier dreams and works at it non-stop? or are you somewhere in between?

what did you think about it? what did you hear about it? i am having a real problem with solipsism and i am hoping that this book will help to disprove it. i know you can never truly refute it because you can only experience yourself. but i think that throught your subjective reality you can prove that somethign exists independently from it
