I'm partial to Hilary Putnam, author of the magnificent paper "The Mental Life of Some Machines."
But I'm in the minority. Most would say Sellars or Rawls or Hintikaa (sp?) or somebody else.
Also, I'm talking of MY time, and a little before; most of these guys did their best work in the 1960s give or take a decade.
