Sure, life is beautiful, but we would know that if we had no choices--or it wouldn't matter, at any level.

I was watching the Vernon Johns story earlier, and not for the first time was I ashamed to be white. Treatment of Blacks has been horrendous and only a few short years ago. So, I have decided to become Black. At least I can be proud to have persevered. I was just curious if anyone else had ever felt this way.

These seem so so old-fashioned in the fast paced high tech world of today. The Waltons and Little House on the Prairie have been replaced by Desperate Housewives. I think it's a sad state of affairs. I regret that in my youth I aspired to be more like Farah Fawcett than Caroline Ingalls. I hope it isn't too late.

How can I set up a refuge centre for abused victims in Kenya. its been in my mind for long and the most sensible answers seem to come from this particular section. I want to make a change to the world and hope to start somewhere. Please help, it means a lot to me. Just ideas and anyone who might want to get involved.

Image a world with no luxury cars, no mansions, no designer clothes, etc. Everything will just be basic. If life was like this I think people in general would be stress free. People would not get robbed as much and there wouldnt be a lot of debt.

What could be the reason God made Growing Beans in a court yard or pot so easy that sufficient for a family can be plucked from a very small area ?

Is it because so much of Nitrogen these plants give to the soil to make it fertile or for the protein it imparts to man ?

Is it because God provide man a chance, a choice to live in Harmony with Nature with Good, Soft Habits as Intakes with a simple and pious living plan of Vegetarianism ?

I have a condition known as high functioning Aspergers syndrome (go to http://www.udel.edu/bkirby/asperger/ for more info). This means that I have trouble reading peoples emotional state, however I can clearly read social trends (that is something I have no trouble with) and since I am not pulled along with every fad and new idea I can stand back and observe.

What I have observed is that people are losing the ability to think for themselves as our global networks grow larger. People seem to be going along with any new idea or fad and ignoring the evidence (which has never been closer to hand) for whatever reason (this is the part I cannot read).

My question is are people losing their ability to think, giving it up to those who are no more qualified than to ask "Would you like fries with that?"? And why (or not) would this be the case that people are not looking for the information that they need and re-disseminating information that is worthless?

I thank you in advance.

Who do you feel is most intriguing to read about? About their life and their views about life and whatever else? What makes them so great to you?

Few questions there, but I'm just curious. Thanks!

A poem by Linda Ellis about a eulogy of a woman posed the question about the dash on the tombstone between the birth date and the date of death. The important part of someone’s life showing only as a dash is not significant enough to describe ones own existence. So, I was wondering what is your dash so far? Tell about what is most important to you in your life. What have you learned, thought, experienced, or taught?
