René Descartes (philosopher) once said "i think, therefore i am"
We are all animals, the distinction comes when an animal has self awareness. You can look at yourself in the mirror and recognise thats you but an animal will look in the mirror and not assossiate the reflection to themself.
Its interesting to see that cambridge has 2 definitions of an animal that contradict themselves...
"1 something that lives and moves but is not a human, bird, fish or insect"
"2 anything that lives and moves, including people, birds, etc"
I'm not sure what you mean about the last part of your question, buddhist and all that.

Scientists say that gorillas, chimpanzees, orangutans and the like are 99% or so like humans. There is only 1% or so that makes us human and not gorilla and separates us from gorillas and other apes. Our intellectual nature is part of the 1% that separates us from the gorillas. Humans are classified scientifically as being a part of one of the two families of homonoids, animals collectively known as the "great apes".
People are not vegetable or mineral. We are classified as being a member of the animal world.
I don't know what PETAs policy is for including humans in their ethical treatment programs. PETA recognizes the fact that many humans receive ethical treatment through the fact that they are humans. PETA also believes that animals should not be treated cruelly or inethically by humans, that cruelty towards animals is wrong and should be eradicated. They believe that both humans and animals should be treated with kindness.

I am not sure how your questions are related to each other, or how your statements connect. PETA is a political organization, yes, but it is founded as a counter-measure to balance all the insanity that happens in the needless slaughter and treatment of animals. Not just in the eating of their flesh, but also in the inhumane ways they are used in "medical" research, cosmetic laboratories, and even in circuses and such.
PETA has done amazing things on behalf on animals, and I thank the gods for them (can you tell that I am a member?)
As far as the rest of your question, are people "animals?" Yes, I believe that we are. That is precisely why I don't eat the flesh of another being, or wear it, or do anything else with it. I don't think that I have the right to do that, and I wouldn't want anyone doing that to mine, either.
I do believe in Karma, and I am a peace-loving person. I cannot bear the thought of harming another living soul, "thinking" animal or not...

You are absolutely right that PETA is a political group. Nothing more.
No people are not part animal and part human.
Yes it is important to distinguish the two intellectually if you care to be honest!

What does PETA have to do with question? You mean if there was PETH ? for HUMANS?
Anyway, I believe we are spirits who are put into 'animal' like bodies, who always take out attention away from whats improtant spiritually to what is needed at the moment (animal istincts)

We're all animal and all human being; one does not preclude the other at all.
What exactly are you asking?
But, from a Buddhist point of view, if you kill an animal/or cause unneeded suffering, you create karma.

If you study anything long enough, it tends to stay with you .learning how the animals live, comparing their life to ours and probably wanting to share the earth in friendship and memory, they tend to live inside the human Psyche.but being part animal is not a proved fact. we imitate allot of non human behavior as a way to tell what we have seen or heard. that's it.

I am not exactly sure what you mean. Are you asking if it makes a difference with our intellectual abilities that we are part animal? Are you wondering if it affects how smart we are or if that it makes us dumber to be part animal? It is a very interesting area of discussion, but if you please formulate your question a little clearer, I'm sure it would bring more interesting responses.
the second part of the question did not make sense to me either.

New Agers are destined to continually experience our planet/species is in worry using fact they have defined the very nature of existence as being a undertaking. it fairly is like observing a battery and asserting "enable's get rid of that unfavourable terminal. would not batteries be extra effective in the event that they purely had valuable ones?" See, in case you think of the unfavourable terminal is a undertaking, all electronics is in worry….constantly. the 2nd it is going to become electronics, it fairly is in worry. too plenty Disney, not sufficient Darwin. . it fairly is not that peace, love & compassion do not count, they do, it fairly is purely that anger, frustration & violence are purely as significant. existence COMPETES. the factor of love & cooperation is to alter into extra effective opposition, using fact collective coordinated action has an income over chaotic guy or woman habit. The fittest will proceed to exist. in case you get too centred on love & cooperation you lose music of the enormous image. All Ying, no Yang. The Dali Lama will die with a candy smile on his face & a stack of honorary tiers from New Age lecturers. And Tibet will proceed to be the valuables of China using fact they have forgotten the importance of anger, frustration & violence.
