Honestly, I think it can. However, it is possible for a person to be happy without ever having to touch money.

Some say money is the root of all evil. However, money represents your livelihood, the work of your hands, what you do for a living. So, in that sense, it can represent a lot of good things too.

The honest to goodness simple fact is that money can and does buy things that can make you and those around you happy. So, yes, money can buy happiness.

Now, if you are implying that you have to "sell yourself out" to be happy, that's another question. It is certainly possible that you can, so, yes money can "buy" happiness in that sense. Whether or not it should be done usually accompanies that question.

I think it depends on your definition of happiness. The US Constitution guarantees our right to pursue happiness, not that we will be happy. Money is a tool and as such the more you have the more you can accomplish, personally, professionally, and socially.

On the other hand, not having money does not mean that you can't do anything .As with most things there are two sides, money can be used towards a "good" or moral purpose, or it can be used for ill. I believe a person is can be happy when giving is more important than greedy accumulation.

Money can't buy happiness but it can buy a very close substitute.

Money by itself will never bring happiness, it is a thing like a car. A car will not do anything if left by itself. However if money is used properly (with the aim of gaining happiness [helping others, bringing joy to people, etc.]) then money can buy happiness igf and only if used properly.

The real question is how to use money properly to bring true happiness. Hope this helps.

It really depends on what you call happiness. In this society money, to some, it can buy happiness. Why do you think people work. To survive? We can survive in the wild without money. It got to a point that people truly belief that money is worth dieing for! I think its a false life. Living to work for money in a society that is divided by money and classes.

To a certain degree... yeah, absolutely.
It affords you luxuries/ lifestyle which adds up to contentment. However, if by your question that money "buys" you happiness superficially, then that's an entirely different matter altogether.
But, yeah money can buy you happiness, I'd be lying if I said that it (money) doesn't. Just enough to live comfortably IMO.

I think money only buys comforts, not happiness, It is our responsibility to bring happiness to ourselves. Try surrounding yourself with loving and caring people. If you spend your life feeling negative and putting yourself in negative situations, I personally believe you are holding yourself back from your well deserved happiness. When I say you, I mean the population in general not you personally.

happiness can never be bought in the first place....money can only be a part of happiness..money is not happiness as a whole...for example, i gave this girl flowers, took her to a movie, brought her to her house, sang to her with the guitar i bought, that's what made me happy...of course, i bought those things but, money alone is insufficient for happiness...actually, you don't need money to be happy...it's the relationships, memories, and experiences that do make you happy...
