I hate to say it, but probably not. But is HAS come along way since the 1960s. In mainstream America, racism is virtually non-existant. But there are still ignorant people out there, but thankfully they are fewer and farther between.
The problem of racism today in America usually comes from "race baiters," those who are paranoid that they are being discriminated against.
The best example I can think of are those who say that there are need to be more minority coaches in major pro sports. And because there are not many, that is has to be discrimination. They point out the successes of Avery Johnson, Tony Dungy, Lovie Smith and Dusty Baker (and many others) as proof that there are many great minorty coaches. Well, what about whites in major pro sports? I want to point out Jason Kidd, Steve Nash and Dirk Nowitzski. They are the best players in the NBA, and they are white. Why aren't there more whites playing in the NBA? And what about white running backs and recievers in the NFL? Are whites being discriminated against?
The answer is no. I am being absurd to illustrate absurdity. If its possible (and politically correct) that a certain ethnic group has the tools to excel in one aspect of life, why is it wrong to assume that another ethnic group has the tools to excel in another aspect of life?
If we do what is right and get the best people for the job, regardless of race, we will NOT see equal distributions. What we will see is that some races tend to do better in certain areas than others. Does that mean only take people of certain races for certain jobs? No. All it means is that, as a generality, a certain ethnicity is better in a certain aspects than others.
We are all different, we all have our strengths and weaknesses. Does that make any group better in the whole scheme of things? No, of course not. But, until we understand that we are different and have different attributes, we cannot fully get rid of racism.

Even if our species is fortunate enough to survive "US" which seems doubtful currently, and we evolve into a common "Race" which could happen, there will always be prejudice.
Consider current events for example. In the Mid East at the moment people of the same race are involved in hate for each other for other issues, such as religious preferences.
Even among African Americans there are levels of racism between light and dark skinned people,,,OF THE SAME racial origin.
I suppose to answer your Q directly but not encouragingly, I'd have to refer back to my original statement. When our species destroys itself, so too will it destroy racism.

Sad to say, No. Because, human nature is basically flawed. The best thing we can hope for is to minimize it by creating and passing laws that criminalizes and deters it.
The good thing about human nature is that it is capable of loving also. Can you imagine if LOVE will end?

sadly, i don't think so...as long as there is ignorance towards others of a different race, then racism will always exist.
