From humans' perspective, being more intelligent than animals, animals do act by instinct rather than free will and we humans act by free will. I believe we use our intelligence and reason in order to study animals behaviour and so we have come to understand that they act instinctively so my questions are:

1. Not from our own perspective but rather from animals, how do we know what animals think for themselves, do they also know that they act by instincts and not free will? or do they think that they act by free will too?

2. Couldn't it be possible that higher intelligent beings than humans, using their higher intelligence and higher reason see us humans acting by instincts rather than free will? maybe we think that we act by free will while some higher beings (angels, God etc) look down on us as mere instinctive humans.

What do you think?

If you died, and it turned out there was actually a god, believe in him or not, and you could ask him just one question (excluding "what is the meaning of life?")
What would it be?

If you have the right to live, so you should have the right to put an end to it as well. Is there any obligation to live a life that you don't want? It is not rational to force people to behave in the way that is supposed to be acceptable by majority. If you live in the way that others approve, there would be no problem and everbody look at you as a normal citizen. But when you want to decide about your own death, you will be called mentally ill. Why others think they can judge for your life better than you? Is the society or anybody allowed to decide on your behalf?

Causation: what is the difference between "lead to" and "is a result of"?
Compare two sentences:
1) Overcrowding in schools always leads to declines in reading skills.
2) Declines in reading skills are always a result of overcrowding in schools.
What do the sentences mean? what is the difference between these two?
Thank you!

I choose me. If I don't take care of me first, then I have nothing to give. If I don't do what is best for me, then I won't be able to do what it best for you. It is in being whole, that I find the energy to give, to love, to have compassion, to be kind. Therefore, I choose me. I put me first. I cannot and will not live my life for you. I must live my life for me. This is essential for the well being of my heart.

You are alive, you're heart is beating, your brain is working

You are alive, but then again you could be dead, nonexistant, never to be seen again.

So how does it feel to be alive.

How do you think it will feel to be dead.
