If I call my mother my mother intelligent people don't think much of it.

But if I say my father's mother-in-law's husband's daughter is my mother they just swallow the answer like a sweet sugar pill.

But this definition can refer to my mother as well as my aunt, right ?

The other day I asked someone why can people not breathe in water ? Instead of saying breating requires gas - air normally found on earth to be inhaled and water does not have that,

he said :

Breating is fire, water is cool the opposite of fire and body is earth and so
when you go under water you can't normally breathe since earth separates water and fire and since cool water is surroung the earth the fire can't come there !!!! Hence !!!!!!!
Also earth is heavier than water so you drown in water.

Then I askede whether metal is heavier than water.
Then how do big ships sail ?
The guy had still more complex explanation foir this.

Don't you think the guy needs psychiatric help at the least ?

Let us assume that God sends St. Peter or St. John on earth for us.

How will you identify him or believe him ?

a) Will you ask for his Photo_ID like Passport or driving licence that would proclaim him as say St. Peter ?

OR

b) If someone just tells you he is St. Peter or St. John you will just believe him ? Simply beacuse he says (proclaims) so.
And 100+ people (his own associates) say so too.

OR

c) will you ask for his mother's contact details where you can
verify this person / stranger ?

you're there when she needs you, you give her that pit in your gut, you stay loyal, as a pup. if she should murder, you would find a shovel... instead you are left, with a pit in your throat, a hole in your gut, lost like a pup, holding a shovel with caca all in your face.
and so it is, but why???

a billionaire bachelor is dying. he has 3 adopted sons -- the first with a perfect vision, the second with a not-so-perfect vision, and the third is completely blind. the bachelor decided to give all his money to the smartest.

one day, he called all his sons to the study. there are 5 hats on the table -- 3 of which are white, and 2 are red. he put 3 hats to his sons without them knowing. then they were told to sit facing each other so they can each others hat -- except the blind man of course. after doing so, the bachelor asked his 3 sons to guess the color of the hats they are wearing with a one-strike policy. the 1st coulndt guess, the second couldnt either. suprisingly, the blind son got the money.

what do u think was the 3rd son's guess? justify ur answer.

Why are the fundamental questions of life (i.e., "where do we come from", and why are we here?") so rarely discussed by the "average" person? how can my mere (non-physical) "will" set in motion a physical process? Where are we? What is nature? What is humanity's place in nature? And what is the relationship of society to the natural world? If we would be travelling time, why can we not see earth in the past?

How did it affect you? Did the experience change your perspective on things like life after death, god, your own mortality, or the concept of time? Is death really the great leveller? Do we have a responsibility to witness well?
