Performing Arts

Well, I've known how to bend for a long time now, but this question came across me after I got my new guitar. Whenever I bend strings toward myself, are my fingers supposed to go under the above string? Otherwise, I'm basically bending both strings or at least pushing the string I'm bending pretty close to the one above it. Is there a correct way of doing it, or is it just mostly important to do what's comfortable?

I have just a year left until i get my degree. I love acting and cannot imagine not doing it as a career..but it is very hard and money does not actually come enough to pay rent, etc. When i graduate i dont know if i should start going to audtions and try and pursue acting..but at the same time..cannot get a job in business because auditions are time consuming. I'm afraid that if acting doesnt work out and i decide to find a job in Business in a few years that i would not get hired because of lack of experience and few years not working after graduating. PLEASE HELP

I need sugjestions for songs to play on my acoustic guitar at parties for people when I got to college in the fall. I'm looking for anything from the "every rose has its thorn" sing-along songs, to the sappy "panty droppers" like "far away" by nickelback or anything by john mayer. Any sugjestions would be greatly appreciated!

I am learning to play the acoustic guitar, but my mom found a really nice set for learning the electric guitar, but it explain the guitar so well. will I be at a complete loss if I try to learn the acoustic guitar from the electric book (of course I will ignore the electric parts of it) Thanks a bunch:)

Have you learned to play guitar on your own? I only had a few lessons. Now I am a teacher and recommend getting a good teacher for students who want to learn. I didn't really learn it out of a book. How did you learn and what has it changed or improved in your life?

I LOVE to sing. People say i have a beautiful voice! a(my mom, dad, friends...) The problem is im too shy to sing in front of people! The only people that have heard me sing is people that i know and people that i trust! I really want to break out of that bubble and learn to sing in front of a different audience! I'm an aspiring composer, and no where near ready to put my work out there, but when the time comes, i'll need some help. my music is mainly going to be for musical theatre, but i need some information on talent agents. Do they help music theater composers? How do they work? Will they let me know if they can't get my stuff out there (i.e. its not good enough) How do they make their money? Are they expensive? Will they really be able to help me get my name out there? Please tell me everything you know about talent agents, how to spot a scam and how talent agents work in "my field" so i don't end up wasting time money and effort.

I have just begun to play the drums for my garage band, and I don't have room for a drum set anywhere in my flat, nor can I afford a halfway-decent one.
