i heard of one artist from China that buys dead babies from hospitals, fries them on a pan and eats them for a lunch. all this process he videotapes and shows as a video art in China.

r we better off producing art that is in line with western culture rules, fully commercialized, derivative and no longer interesting to anyone ?

I'm clarinetist but have decided to switch to oboe and I want to go to band camp but I've only heard of one in Flagstaff, Az at NAU. The problem is that it's only a week long and costs half a grand which is like really insane to me. So could you point in the direction of a good camp or school in the western U. S.. It would be great if you can find one in the southwest or somewhere close to Phoenix, AZ.

...to a 'cello player something along the lines of: "Madam, you have between your legs an instrument created by God and all you can do is sit and scratch it?"

I'm thinking specifically of true incidents related to orchestral or wind band music. Part of a novel I'm writing needs some more examples and, if you send a response, I will assume you are happy for me to use it in the novel.

Poppa locka poppa locka poppa locka poo,
Bully bully bully bully bully bully bop,
Diggarigga diggarigga diggarigga doo,
Homininy homininy homininy hop.

All are on the same note, but the last sylable (poo/bop/doo/hop) is a fifth up. We've been using it as a vocal warm up in Theatre camp, going up one step each time, but I'm not sure if it repeats or not in the actual song.

It is most definetely from a real song, from a showtune, maybe not something that has actually been on broadway though. I'm at a loss, so I thought I'd take it here to find out.
