It's tough, but you can either be discovered by appearing at popular theatre acting as a main role, or if you prefer not to wait than check out popular acting agencies online that have references of famous people in their agency. This way you'll know if they actually go places in that agency besides local shows. Then, you will definitely need a head shot, and resume with history of ALOT of previously done acting jobs that you have taken. This way they will know how much experience, and how well you have done in acting...depending on which roles you have taken on. For example: lead. That would be a very good role to have. Anyway, once you've sended all your info. Don't forget to make sure you are not sending your info to a con artist, or scammer. They would take all your info, and use it against you. If none of my suggestions work, then make sure you research the internet for opportunities. Good Luck!!!

If you live that far, how you going to go in for an audition when the agent sets one up for you? Hmmm?
You better move to Sydney or where ever the live stage and studios are. The TV stations.
Yu won't get an agent intially. You have to get a job first. Agents make their money off commissions.
NOW, you become the Weather Girl on station 27 in Canberry, making $A20 k a year and you'll find a few smaller agents interested in getting 10% of that action and helping you get further and make more money next contract.
10% of nothing is nothing. Why should they help you a neglect some Weather girl on Station 34 in Melbourne?
Get the picture!
Go to Cable Access if they have it
Move!
Go where something close to the actions is
Work at fast food places until you get a job in the industry.
It's a lot easier there than in the US!
Go to a professional photographer and get a black and white face shot.
GO to every theater, TV station, advertising agency in town.
Be creative.
Maybe the local Toyota dealership has no carisma. Go there and convince the head guy you can sell cars better on camera!
Collect tape of yourself
Send that to stations and agents.
Once you have a resume and some tapes you'll have no problems
But you have to RE LOCATE and have SOLID TRANSPORTATION.
If you don't own a hammer how you gonna bang nails?
Think another carptenter will loan you their hammer?
You're a little young, so stay in school, do local theater, start your own theater if you have to, get a camcorder and make your own TV shows, sends tapes out to places.
Hey, sillier things have worked.
Start a web site.
Go out into the backlands and shoot some intresting footage. Narrate it. Sell it to the BBC in England.
If you do it on PAL DV-C it would be good enough.
Just a little Sony HC26
Think of what you can do and what is around you. Be creative.
You have to be agent, actor, director, editor, promoter.
What does it cost. You copy to your computer, edit, copy back to the DV and make duplicate tapes. Send them off the the BBC or Germany or NEw Zealand or China
MArlon Perkins shoots wildlife and narrates it and turned it into Wild Kingdom which ran for 20 years on PBS.
Do a cooking show.
MAke a Sit com with friends. 22 minutes is all you need.
What, you can't make your own Lizzie McGuire? You can do better than Absolutely FAbulous
And in the process you'll learn!

From what I know, you have to have headshots taken and type out a resume of your skills that is ultimately pasted on the back. You send these headshots to any agent you can find and wait for a response.

Wright a letter to Nichol Kidman Tom Cruise's ex wife.
I hear that she is the richest women in Australia. Be pleasant, brief, and explain your needs. Ask politely if she has any idea
what you should do.
