There are lots of teachers out there, just be careful if you're dealing with someone online. I've always felt that it's a much better idea to meet the person face-to-face before agreeing to become their student. I've taught several students myself, but I always insist on meeting them in person before commiting to anything. That way you can both get a better idea of whether or not you're dealing with a legitimate person; people who teach the Old Ways always run the risk of sharing knowledge with people who aren't really commited to learning the tradition, and students run the risk of being conned by fakes.

If you are truly ready to study the Old Ways, try searching www.witchvox.com for covens or teaching circles in your area.

A lot of people. But before you let a dabbler corrupt you with their ignorance, ask them the Wiccan Rede (some call it Reed or Crede, but I think all of them meant to say Creed. Oh well...) If they hesitate, you know they're dabblers.

If you have money for books, buy The Complete Idiot's Guide to Wicca and Witchcraft. Or something by Scott Cunningham. Silver Ravenwolf is too commercial, stay away from her.

Yes, of course. When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.

Go to www.witchvox.com and look for individuals or better yet, groups, in your area. Learning in real time from real people is always better than reading a book (but you will also be asked to do a lot of reading and research, too!).

Our coven is a teaching coven, but you need to live in our area and come to our open circles.

HI, I have been Wiccan for 8 years. I recently came upon a website for free online Wiccan training and it's legit. Wow. I am currently taking their first degree classes as a refresher. It's very informative and well laid out.

Pick up a book at borders. That would be a lot better place to get answers than here.
