She sings, she acts - was good in Shanghai Surprise. Now she's settled down a bit and is living in a relatively more civilized country she appears to be better adjusted. Yes, she is an artist, performing arts - of course.

I think her constant reinvention of herself is an art.
Technically because she sings, she's a musical artist. But I don't consider her musical talents put her in the category of "real, true artist."

YES - i mean. she's been around for such a long time it must mean that she's doing something right - artists these days don't last long - they have a hit song or two and afterwards, they come back with their second album but they're not popular anymore or they just disappear altogether
