I am about to begin filming local artists -musicians - songwriters - poets and whatever else that may be entertaining to watch - they will all be restricted to local area artists and events.

I have no money to pay people to participate in the site but - I am hoping that the site could become well known locally and the exposure could alone be a great thing - eventually i would hope to get advertisers to make it easier on me as far as the cost of gas - tapes - website costs and whatever else may come along - plus of course it would also be great to be able to have some left to just do this as some kind of job -

So my question is - is it fair to have the artists perform on the site for free, thinking that the exposure will help them sell more of thier own cds or get more people to attend their shows and such - while I make money from advertising on a site that was made great by them-

I don't want to cheat anyone (would I be?)--what should I do?

Ok, I ´m gonna have this piano test in a month and I have to memorize 4 short pieces to play them in front of a small audience. I´ve done it before but I still find it very hard (both memorize and play in public without forgetting the notes, fingering etc.).
What tips can you give me to memorize better and quicker and to play in public?. Thanks!!!

Whenever I do a solo, I usually try to sing something sad and meaningful (like in the past I've done"Only Hope" by Mandy Moore/Jonathan Foreman, "Time After Time" by Eva Cassidy, and "For Good" from the musical 'Wicked'). I don't really want it to be so popular that people in the audience can sing it with me, but it doesn't have to be unheard of. My mother keeps telling me to sing something upbeat, but I'm not sure if I have the type of voice to pull that off. Any suggestions are welcome!! :)

I can act, sing, dance and play the violin. She can do pretty much all of those things except the violin part, but she needs a bit more time learning routines, songs, and lines. The event is on Wednesday, and we were thinking of doing a dance routine or two with some other girls that can also do those things (except the violin), but there's already a cheer squad. I really want to do something, and she does as well, and I don't think it would be very fair if we let the others girls down by saying they won't be involved. Are there things that you guys can think of that might be appropriate for us to do? Please, serious answers only.
