I have grown up into music and know almost every term used in music. They actually call it music theroy (please excuse my spelling it's very bad.). If you want to email me with your email address, I can send you some music instruction and go from the basics and take you all the way through to the profesionals. I know and have instructional pages on everything you'll ever want to know. My email address is chadgant55@yahoo.com.

Sure. Pick up an instruction book in any music store.

Here is the first step. Picture a sheet of music. 5 lines and 4 spaces.

The lines corespond to notes. From the bottom to the top this reads: E G B D F

The spaces also correspond to notes, from bottom to top
F A C E.

On a piano the notes begin with middle C. The white keys are all major notes. The black keys are half-hotes.

The music scales runs A-G (A Bb C C# D Eb E F F# G Ab

The flatted notes such as Bb are the black keys located to the left of the white key.

The sharp notes such as C# are the black key located to the right of the white keys.

To find middle C on a piano or keyboard look at the keys. The middle white one between two black ones is C.

The guitar is set up differently with each string and fret pertaining to a note but I do not want to confuse you anymore than I already have.

Pick your instrument, start taking lessons, practice at lest 6 days a week, min. 30-45 minutes. NO EXCUSES! Once start, can't quit. Learning/playing music is a discipline as well as the other half of your communication skills.

If the school you attend offers a semester or two of Vocal take it! In such a class you should learn to not only sing in unison and in parts, but learn how to read and write notation. That is the first step in understanding and appreciating musicianship.

Without that year of Vocal I took in high school I might still be struggling with songs I'd always wanted to play, but was stuck because I couldn't read music.

In Spain there's a particular party on the nineteenth of March. 3 days in the previous the form they placed up particularly enormous statues all over the cities. And on the evening of the nineteenth of March they have a lot of fireworks and then they burn the statues wich are created from timber and paper mache and then painted. The statues are oftentimes approximately twenty to 20 5 ft long.

Start hanging around musicians and ask them for help. Most of us want to spread the love and would help any up and comer with tips or giving them old equipment we don't use. I'm not a rich man by any stretch but I've given away amps, effect pedals, a bass, advice, books, and lessons all in the name of mentoring young musicians on the way up.

it seems like everyone else helped you on the getting started side. so i will tell you so interesting terms often used

fermata-hold as long as you want or for twice the notated (it looks like a frown with a dot underneath.
crescendo- abbreviated as cresc. means to gradually get louder looks like an extended greater than sign.
decrescendo- abbreiviated as decresc. means to gradually get softer. looks like an extended less than sign.

if you come across any other terms that you want to know, don't hesitate to ask. someone will know or can find out.
